Good News!!! Got then biopsy report back yesterday and my “spot” was benign! It was likely caused by a rough spot in my mouth (I have a sharp edge on the base of a crown on that side) so all is good. Thanks for all the good mojo.
I had a similar surgery on my tongue, but they took out a chuck the same length a bit wider.
While in recovery, they told me they’d give me a pain killer after the local had worn off. There was no question when the local had worn off, and I asked for my pain medication. This is the first time I had ever had anything stuffed up my ass (apparently whatever I was give got absorbed into the blood stream down there).
It wasn’t enough and I was still really hurting, so I asked for the nurse. Being Japan, she wasn’t going to question the doctor’s orders and wouldn’t even relay my request for additional relief. Instead, she tried to make convince me that I didn’t need anymore, including questioning my manhood.
Fortunately, I made enough of a fuss that when the doctor came by he ordered another shot.
People who know me are amazed that I’ve lost any of my tongue – it hasn’t stopped me from talking at all.
