I just finished watching episode one. It’s four years later and Gilead is just as fucked up as ever. I’m loving the contrast between the upbeat Disney princess coming of age vibe and the horror. I’m also loving how much brighter the lighting is.
My wife and I will wait until all episodes are available.
The scene with the Greens dancing with the Commanders’ sons almost managed to look sweet, at least compared to the old Commanders dancing with them. Still creepy once you relize thar the boys are probably in their 20s and the girls all just their first periods. And is it just me, or are these girls nastier to eachother than Handmaids?
Just finished the season. Me and the wife binged it over a few days. We thought it was generally pretty good, except for the character of Daisy, who must be one of the most astoundingly stupid fictional characters of all time.
At this point I’m convinced that Daisy is June’s younger half sister.
