That’s why I said the “usual” confusion. ![]()
Hello. It’s raining today!!! Then we go back to a few weeks of over 90 during the days, but I’ll take it. Rain!
Shortly I will leave to take MiL to the doctor. She’s still not doing well. She called me twice at 2 am. I don’t know why. Hopefully the doctor can figure out what is going on.
Happy Moanday everyone!
Thank You E C G!
I just got an email from the breeder.
Echo is now coming on the 22 instead of the 27th.
I am so NOT ready.
One of her litter mates, who was supposed to go out on the 22nd, had to be switched, so that date became available for me.
I guess I should be telling my son.
I have a friend from the dog park who is going to go with me, fortunately she is off irk on the 22nd and still can go with me.
**sari **- here’s what you do. You ask your son to come be your moral support while you break some news to Ripple…

I crack me up!!!
Back from erranding. I filled my car, got some critter treats at the Dollar store, then ran by the Amish market for 'maters, a cuke, and some beeyooteeful pears. Sadly, peach season is done.
Supper tonight will be pulled poke, broccoli, sweet N.O.T.s and maybe biscuits. Roxy is hanging with her dad and uncle, so I’m going to assume the recline position and see what I can knit or crochet with what little yarn I have left.
oops heh see the weekend continues…now I’m sitting on hold waiting to see if ihss is still sending out paper timesheets or if we have to do the now federally mandated electronic ones …hopefully we still have a few weeks to sign up …aunts off to the bank soon to fix my error …
10 minutes later because i didn’t hit send when I rang through to the live person
Well just got off the phone and from the rambling, i just heard timesheet should be here between today- 3 days but they couldn’t confirm if it was sent out because of the systems down yet again … But this online thing is going to be a clusterfuck in a half …
but rays of sunshine are coming through
I have been reminding Ripple every day that he is getting a baby sister.
I think I will surprise my son by dumping her in his lap.
I wanted to get some stuff done before she gets here, like go see an accountant.
I guess I will be moving all of the branches out of the back yard, which the neighbor keeps saying he is going to do but he never does.
Beer gets in the way.
Going to the accountant will have to wait until she is old enough to go to daycare, although I really should crate train her. I regret not training Ripple.
I also have been thinking about getting a new truck, one of my credit cards sent me a nice offer for financing, so I contacted my credit union and got an even better offer. One of the men at the park got a new Colorado, and it makes mine look like a toy. I have been wanting something bigger, but didn’t want to go as big as a Silverado. I have also been wanting something with just a little more power.
There is no way we can have two people and two dogs in the truck, it is already cramped with one dog.
I’m still debating that, kind of stupid to buy a new truck because of a dog. Not that it is really because of the new dog, I have been thinking about a new truck for some time now. Like every time I come back from the armpit and I hear my truck staining to make it up the mountain, and I am not even into the real mountains yet. Driving through WV, I need more power. Then I need to decide if I should keep the old truck for when my son gets his license, or trade it in on a new one.
I think that decision can wait a bit.
Then again, I am still thinking about moving. I am tired of my neighbors, they are part of the reason for my grumpiness. They keep parking further and further onto my parking pad and I am starting to feel like I am being pushed. They were also out there the other day working on somebody’s car and everybody was hanging around and leaning on my truck. I feel kind of petty, but don’t touch my truck. I saw a big gouge on it today. I don’t know that they did it.
I want the neighbor on the other side to fix her damn window so I can get the walls inside the closet fixed. Not much sense in doing it if it is just going to crumble again.
Guess I should get a handy person out here and see what can be done and how much it will cost.
Yes, it was a wheel bearing. That’ll be $810 dollars I don’t have. ![]()
The cable/Internet/phone bill went up to $230 (from $197). I spent a long time on the phone getting basically what we had, only slower Internet and no HBO/Showtime/premium movie channels. They added on AMC and TCM. The good news is that the monthly bill will only be $174. The bad news is that the monthly bill will be $174. ![]()
I picked up my 2011 PowerBook Pro on Saturday. The graphics processor is failing. Apple no longer supports repairs, and a place in New York someone recommended states on their website that they don’t repair 2011 PowerBook Pros. ![]()
Banking has been completed and it turns out the GreecetoRome restaurant is closed Mondays, so ended up at Jersey Mikes. Contemplating nappage.
Sari, I think you need to tell son a new dog is coming instead of just dropping it in his lap and hope things work out. He’s an adult (even if he doesn’t seem to do much adultin’) and deserves that much (IMHO–I’m a lifelong bachelor with no pets, so what do I know).
Flyboy, ouch on the car repair. Phone and Internet are about $100 now, Direct TV is around $135, so I know your pain.
Sunny, hope the MiL diagnosis lets here be treated.
FCM, hope FCD’s trip isn’t too bad.
I think you are right MetalMouse, I feel like I am being dishonest.
I know he’ll get over it, he didn’t want the cat, and he didn’t want Ripple.
He has been plucking my nerves too. I know he has a lot of school irk this semester, but he is really slacking off around here.
I will be so glad when school is over, then he has to get a job.
Left the house this morning, and realized that my keys were still on the counter. :smack:
I tried calling Mom but she didn’t answer - found out later she was feeling poorly and had gone back to bed. So I called a locksmith
(and let’s all say a prayer of thanks for cell phones so if we forget the keys but not the cell phone, we have options)
Locksmith got there and eventually got the door open, but only by destroying the door knob and the door! I thought locksmiths knew how to pick locks? Ok, he asked if he could drill the lock, so I expected the lock to be destroyed, but the knob and major damage to the door?
Anyway, not having a fun day.
butters I’m one of those folks who puts together the big pill box when I travel. When you take quite a few, it’s more practical and there’s a CVS most places that I go just in case.
Sorry about the wheel bearing Johnny.
Irked, picked up prescriptions, got a flu shot (and a $5 Tar-jay gift card), came home and et. I met my new boss today. I don’t know much about her, but hope she’s good to work with.
Howdy Y’all! We’re home from men’s night over to the church house. ‘Twas fun as usual and we had a good crowd. Everybody is through doin’ Summer stuff now, I reckon. I read all but retained little so yays, boos, hugs, trouts, chitlins, and how you doin’s all around, as needed.
**FCD **got to his hotel quite late - he said the last 17 miles of the trip took 90 minutes, and he’s not sure why.
I’m about to crash - I’s tahred even tho I didn’t do a lot today. Time to crate Higgs and head back to beddy-bye.
I found a kitten during my evening walk. It has a bloodied up neck, but I think it’s going to be OK.
Did you take him home, or to shelter?
Please say home! ![]()
It was getting late, and I still had to pick up the car. We decided Mrs. L.A. would drive me into town and I’d hang out at the Toyota dealer. I took the new computer with me so that I could be entertained. I tried to watch something on Xfinity Streaming, but it said I needed Adobe Flash Player. I tried installing, I tried setting Preferences, but I couldn’t get it to work. I initiated a chat with Xfinity, but the car was done before we could go anywhere. I started composing a question in GQ, when I tried again. This time it worked. I didn’t get to watch anything at the dealership, but at least I can watch football when Mrs. L.A. wants to watch TV.
My folks’ home, but I’m moving out soon so I don’t know who’ll assume ownership. They already have a cat and have been entertaining getting it a companion. Depending on how well the the established one accepts it, I’m inclined to leave it with them.
They can at least ask me to name it.
We didn’t name our cats. Tonka was 8 when we adopted him (he’s 14 or so now), and Goo (adopted this past July) is 6. We thought it would be better for them to keep the names what they brung. Tonka and Goo.
Worked, came home. Drinking Yuengling Oktoberfest. Off tomorrow?
Not so good.
Mine is only 3 pills. But I know people who carry an entire pharmacy.
Those are some hepcats.
I’d share a photo if I had any idea where the lil thing had holed itself up. Maybe tomorrow.
