The Third Annual Steelers March to the Super Bowl Thread

What “cart incident?” And what fighting-are you talking about Alexander bitching about not getting some title? (I forget which one it was)

The Attack of the Gate:

It was Randy Baumann on DVE who said that Hasselbeck was agitated about the incident and said he felt like beating up the driver.

The Seahawks fighting:

You are absolutely right with the first half of that statement, and could not be more wrong about the second.

Though I do have to admit, I’m a bit concerned about Polamalu’s ankle. I have no doubt that he’ll play, but how well? Under normal circumstances, I’d expect him to run right over/under/around Seattle’s O-line, but if the ankle isn’t 100% it might make him…“human”.

Wait…was Alexander trying to blame Jerome Bettis?

9 hours and change, and then it’s on like Donkey Kong.

A little bit more than 12 hours from now and we will have a new NFL Champion, with a new trophy to join the other four.

God, I’m going to be sitting here twitching in anticipation all day long.

I’m having peole over so I won’t be able to come back to the thread until after.

GO STEELERS!!!

Unlike Airman Doors, I don’t woof before the game…it tends to bring the wrath of the football gods. However, I just have a good feeling about this team. As a lifelong Steelers fan, I have had a chance to watch as we get close, then falter. This team has a different feel to it, a team of confidence, skill, and power. If we play today like we played the last 2 games, I don’t think a team in the NFL can beat us. If we don’t play like that, it’s going to be tight, and it’s going to be a tossup.

I’ve got my Steelers garb on, my black and gold beer in the fridge (alternating Guinness with a pilsner…hey, it worked the last two games!), the Steelers cap on the TV, and a whole lot of excitement.

Hey, Jman, check this out.

Exactly what I want to hear.

I want this to be the most boring game in big game history. I want this game to be so one sided, people fall asleep. 20-0 in the first quarter would be nice, 30-0 by halftime would make me very happy.
I just do not think my heart can take another close game like the Indy game. I love my Steelers but do not want to die for them.
*And of course I do hope it is the Steelers with those leads

I was just talking to my mom and she told me a pretty good joke, actually…

[quote=Mom]
Peyton Manning dies and goes to Heaven. God tells him that because he’s lived a good life, he gets a very special perk: his own house.

Peyton’s house is a comfortable little bungalow painted in blue and white, with the Colts logo on the porch flag. God says, “This is a very special privilege, Peyton. Not everyone gets a house in Heaven.”

Peyton then notices the house next door. It’s three stories tall, painted in black and gold, with a 50-foot flagpole flying a huge Steelers flag and a Terrible Towel in every window. A pimped-out black SUV with gold trim sits in front of the house, with “The Bus” painted in gold on the side. Peyton turns to God and asks, “God, I hate to sound like I’m complaining, but why does Bettis get a better house than me?”

God replies, “That’s not Jerome’s house. It’s mine.”

Just under an hour to kickoff! I need to go get the chili and cornbread started in a few minutes; can’t miss any of those commercials today…

jayjay, that’s awesome-I have to share that one!

GO STEELERS!!!

Well, this has been a super disappointment so far. The defense is doing it all so far. The offense just can’t get uncorked, and Roethlisberger is throwing floaters.

They have to get well if they expect to win.

And yet, they are only down by 3. Don’t worry, they’ll come around.

Holy shit!

3rd and 28 and they got the 1st down at the 3. Wow!

And…

TOUCHDOWN!!!

Oh shoot! Review…

…or not. It’s under review.

I doesn’t look like Ben got in.

Maybe. I think the ball broke the plane (barely), but who knows what the replay official will see?
