The Third Annual Steelers March to the Super Bowl Thread

The ground can cause a fumble if the ball carrier hasn’t been touched, because the ball is still in play. But he ws touched on the way down.

Ya still with us, Airman?

I can grant you it is one of the sloppiest games I have ever seen, but it is not boring at all.

He’s chilling the champaign.

What’s that strange expression on Bill Cowher’s face? It looks almost like a smile, but it can’t be…

With that first down (with 3:20 minutes left), I can say finally that the Stealers have it.

So, MVP?

I’m thinking Roethlisberger. He hasn’t necessarily played that great a game, but he’s made the plays that needed to be made.

I guess it’s not boring, but it is painful to watch. The Seahawks were slightly more crappy than the Steelers, but I would have liked to see a well played game rather than one that is close for 3.5 quarters.

The refs came up with a couple of huge phantom calls against the Seahawks to take a good game away from the viewers.

Ward. As the best of a bad lot, really, but he made arguably the two biggest plays: the 3rd &28 and the touchdown from Randle-El.

9 for 21 with two picks is no MVP, so Ben is out. I too would go with Ward.

Yes I am.

With 2 minutes left, up 2 scores with Seattle having no timeouts, I’m saying it:

STEELERS WIN THE SUPER BOWL!

I was born 3 days after their first one, I saw the next three on my grandfather’s knee, and I have been a faithful follower for my entire life. I lived through the lean years, I dealt with the heartbreak of Super Bowl XXX, and now, finally, my team is the best team in the NFL.

Excuse me while I tear up a bit.

If so, you haven’t watched much football.

Fairly sloppy, yes, but no more so than any September game.

Now ***that ***was a smile on Cowher’s face!

I called 24-10, but I guess I’ll take it anyway.

Is finished!
Congratulations Airman Doors!

I was talking about Super Bowls.

Next year it will be titled The First Annual Steelers Defend The Vinny Thread!

Congrats. Steelers.

Aye! Congrats Airman Doors! I’ve been on the bandwagon as long as you have (since the early 70’s), but you had the guts to call it.

I’d have to go with Ward as MVP too, but only by default. No one really had an outsanding game.
