So what’s the video about? Is it important enough for me to take 30 minutes to watch it? If so, why isn’t it important enough for you to take 5 minutes (assuming you type slowly) to tell me what it’s about?
If you tell me what the video in your link is about, I’ll tell you what this video is about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zXaVOsoaxg. OK, I’ll tell you anyway. It’s a 4 minute music clip by jazz/blues singer Madeline Peyroux, who I’m really grooving on right now. Now you know enough about whether you’re interested in listening to it.
Here’s my deal with an explaination of what it’s about…I don’t want to skew the perspective of what it is about. It’s about America, if you have ‘that’ interest then you should just take a chance and see it.
For the rest of you telling me that you don’t have 30 minutes to just kill…what are you lurking here for then, wasting time eh!
Actually, Skeleton10, I found your video really interesting. I can’t watch it all right now, but what I’ve seen of it is quite fascinating. I think I have something else that you might be interested in.
Yes, but we’re wasting time on something we already know we enjoy. You’re asking us to spend our valuable time-wasting time on something we don’t know if we’ll enjoy or not. I don’t have so much wasted time that I can just waste it like that!
The answer being “not much”. Islamic terrorists, despite all the hyperventilating from certain people are a weak force incapable of doing significant damage. And yes, on a national scale 9/11 was insignificant. I’m in greater danger of being attacked by a Christian fanatic than an Islamic one; there’s far more of the former in this country than the latter. And in much greater danger of being attacked by a criminal or run over by a drunk driver than either.
Its a propaganda video positing that a secret conspiracy of semetic peoples associated with a particular abrahamic religion have worked their way into the US in order to subvert its values from within so that they can take control.
The film goes on to compare these people to the Nazi’s. I’d have trouble believing you could make such a film without the irony being obvious, so I’m gonna choose to believe its satire.
The video is Islamophobic spam. It’s not worth anybody’s time, especially since the OP himself does not appear to have any actual interest in discussing it.
I watched the first 5 minutes and it seems to be a devout “regular” (i.e., peaceloving) Muslim upset that there hasn’t been more outcry from the Muslim community against radical (i.e., terrorist) Islamists. There were a few cites of Muslims supporting the 9/11 attacks, and then I clicked it off.
I certainly didn’t get any indication what the video was about from the OP, but most of the replies so far make me think I must have clicked on the wrong video b/c how people are describing it doesn’t seem to match up with at least the first 5 minutes I saw.
I’m watching this now, about half way through, and your characterization is not even close. The film was made by a Muslim. It seeks to separate out radical Islam from Islam.
Is it about how the Muslims are coming to America and building mosques in our holy cities like New York and Murfreesboro Tennessee? Imagine the uproar if Christians when to non-Christian countries and tried to build churches and convert people!
