The most glaring symptom to my eye is echo chamber assurance. They seem to be people who have been talking with people who agree with them for so long, they have become convinced that their arguments are rock solid.

And don’t worry, Hector, we’re still around. Last I heard, Sam was on a road trip, and since I’ve been spending way too much time here lately, I had to bail to get caught up on work of my own.

Don’t know about Scylla or Shodan, but rest assured we’re not cowering in a corner somewhere, fearful of a McCain flameout. In fact, the more we see Obama behaving like an accusatory old-style politico, the more confident we become.
