But even though Charles Manson had some aspirations to music stardom, I don’t consider him or Anton LaVey “musicians.”
And Marilyn Manson has never done anything truly evil, as far as I know.

There are undoubtedly a lot of famous musicians who’ve beaten their wives and/or girlfriends or who’ve abused/raped groupies… but obviously, I don’t know which of them are the worst.
The OP’s linked website seems to be a mishmash of urban legends. For one thing, the Marilyn Manson puppy-massacring concert story is definitely not true.

This is a joke, right? I mean, you’re not actually suggesting that subscribing to some fairly typical 19th-century racism and antisemitism makes Richard Wagner a more “evil” person than people who have committed actual crimes like, you know, murder and rape.
Carlo Gesualdo murdered at least two people (his wife and her lover) and possibly also his infant son. That’ll take some beating.
The hell? Marilyn Manson? Just because you don’t like his music is no reason to call him evil. I’ve seen him interviewed, and he’s actually pretty well-spoken and articulate. I doubt that much of that paragraph has any basis in reality.
If this was posted 20 years ago, it’d be Ozzy Osbourne and Judas Priest on that list, for about the same reasons. Pure tosh.

Charles Manson played guitar and recorded a handful of songs in the ‘60s, one of which was later covered by Gun N’ Roses on their albumThe Spaghetti Incident (Look At Your Game, Girl). That’s Manson playing and singing in that link. I’d say he was a musician without a doubt, and more crazy than evil.

I mean, yeah, he’s still a totally vile perverted jackass, but technically not a rapist.
Varg Vikernes is, to me, the most evil depraved mother fucker to ever be a professional musician. He burned down churches and murdered his friend and bandmate, ffs. He preaches a mishmash of self-concoted beliefs drawing from Norse mythology, white supremacy and occult National Socialism (Indiana Jones apparently didn’t quash that as completely as we may have thought). He’s a right dangerous nutter, as he’s shown again and again.
Gaahl is a dick, no doubt, but so far he hasn’t murderd any friends or bandmates or burned down any churches. Mind you, he supports burning down churches and he supports the guy who murderd his friend and bandmate, and he once tied up and tortured a man for hours and hours, even forcibly draining the man’s blood into a cup to drink while his victim watched… oh and don’t forget the racism, there’s plenty of that in Gaahl’s head.
pulykamel isn’t kidding either: the Nowegian Black Metal scene in the ‘90s was fuktup beyond belief. On the DVD with the documentary film Headbanger’s Journey, there’s a brief documentary of the NBM scene, with interviews with various people, including Gaahl and Necrobutcher & Blasphemer (both from Varg Vikernes’ old band, Mayhem). I can’t find the whole doc as one video, but people have broken it into like 3 parts on Youtube, if anyone is interested and hasn’t seen it.
ETA: Oh yeah, the notion that Marilyn Manson is evil is ridiculous; if he’s evil then clearly KISS is downright demonic.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but no, dumbass. If a guy’s worst crimes are being smug and kind of annoying, he’s not evil. I mean, if only four musicians had ever really hurt anybody, then OK, I guess LaVey could be #5 and Marilyn Manson could be #4. Since that’s not the case…

I’m ashamed I clicked through and gave that site a hit. I wondered why Anton LaVey was on the list because he never did anything illegal or harmful. Ok, he’s on the list because he founded the Church of oooh, SATAN (which is just as stupid to me as any other “religion”) and that’s gotta be evil, right? But mostly he’s on the list because he made terrible music. Two people in the top 5 who never did anything to anybody worse than making music the guy doesn’t like, over others who have caused real harm and pain and suffering. What a click hound dick.
