Has there been any good investigative reports on the use of AI in the Trump administration? I’ve heard talk of the over use of AI to perform audits that they use to cut budgets. The current beagle killer heading the VA is touting that under his leadership they have cleared out the backlog of claims. But I’m seeing stories that the clear out is happening because they are using AI to deny vast numbers of claims. Has anyone done a comprehensive factual story on how they are using AI?

Sorry I got two people mixed up. Rep Mike Bost shot a beagle. He’s the chair of the Veterans Affairs Committee. He was also bragging about clearing the backlog at the VA. The Secretary of Veterans Affairs is someone else. Both have been in the news because of a big veterans bill in Congress right now.
AI is going to be a mixed blessing for sure. But if the administration is using it for any purpose it is the in credible form of intelligence they are likely to have.
