And he got the kinder, gentler deportation. Quickly, to his own country, where he is not in physical danger.

Yeah, he wasn’t put into a horrific prison in El Salvador, or shipped to some country in Africa. He wasn’t held in a half-built detention center in Arizona, denied medication and other medical care, with broken showers and moldy food. He had the best possible treatment, considering ICE was involved.
Why are tiny African countries accepting deportees? What’s in it for them? Are they being paid by the US? How much?
I just had this same question, after reading an article about how deportees are being sent to the Central African Republic, a country that our State Department advises against visiting.

Homeland Security of course is not cooperating. After realizing they had the wrong man the agents left him in the street bleeding from injuries to his head, neck and teeth.
