It has been my observation that almost every time Pelosi comes to the mike for her weekly press conference she begins with a recital of what bills the House is currently working on.
But that’s not what the reporters want to talk about. As soon as she was done speaking the questions about impeachment started coming fast and furious. She almost pleaded for them to as questions about the bills that were being discussed.

And again, they reporters only ask about impeachment inquiry proceedings:
There weren’t.
They’re working on legislation. They’re trying to talk about their work on legislation. But there is absolutely no interest from the press in reporting on it.
I don’t think “Use marketing!” is a realistic suggestion here.
The house is currently on fire. The media should be covering this five-alarm fire. To the extent that a construction company wants the news to break away from that coverage to tell viewers how well-built the road is that the firefighters are using, I’d say that’s a distraction from the pressing issue right now.
Note that Fox News does this all the time. Trump is caught on video killing a man, and Fox News runs stories about infrastructure week. It isn’t good journalism.
Nice that he could, in these tumultuous times of his own doing, take a little time away from working on his amazing wall to ponder his own pocketbook for a bit. A multi-tasking very stable genius.
You do realize that trying to make something go viral is the surest way to ensure it doesn’t, or are we going down to the quarry to throw rocks in it yet?
The people do not care about infrastructure. The press does not care about infrastructure. The only ones that care about infrastructure are the actual politicians working on these bills, and their work is being utterly ignored, to the point where someone would suggest that they should move away from impeachment and work on infrastructure.
What slogan do you suggest? What baddass one liner would grab your attention?
Mulvaney just confirmed during a press conference that money was held up and one of the criteria for releasing it was investigating the Democrats. Quid pro quo. They are openly admitting the crime hoping that by saying it out loud makes it acceptable.
In relation to corruption surrounding the DNC server apparently. Since the trump administration projects everything they are actually doing onto others, this must mean there’s evidence of corruption on the RNC servers. Wish someone could get hold of those servers!
Anyway, there’s no actual evidence of anything corrupt on the DNC servers or anything that would harm national security. That idea is a conspiracy theory. Apparently the GOP and their steadfast voters are cool with starting investigations on people and entities even without evidence. Trump just has to say “people are saying” and an investigation can begin. Preferably an off the radar investigation led by a bumbling celebrity/attorney.
Actually, it refutes your point. People do know about it. That has been demonstrated. You evidently did not. I’m not sure why you think projecting your ignorance on those who are not ignorant is a point for you, but I don’t think that it is.
The Republican stance has been that there is no problem unless the president pressured a foreign government to investigate his political adversary in return for money. This is exactly what Mulvaney now says happened.
*"Acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney told reporters today that aid to Ukraine was in fact tied to President Trump’s wish for an investigation into the 2016 election.
When asked about the decision to withhold aid from Ukraine, Mulvaney told reporters that President Trump told him at the time, "This is a corrupt place. Everyone knows this is a corrupt place…Plus, I’m not sure that the other European countries are helping them out either.”
Mulvaney also added, “Did he also mention me in the past that the corruption related to the DNC server? Absolutely. No question about that."
When questioned on Mulvaney saying that the White House held up security money from Ukraine until the president got assurances, Mulvaney told reporters to “get over it” saying there are going to be political impacts on foreign policy.
"The corruption of the country, whether or not other countries participating in support of Ukraine, and whether or not cooperating in an ongoing investigation with the department of justice. That is completely legitimate, yes"
A reporter then questioned Mulvaney on his explanation saying it sounds like a quid-pro-quo to which Mulvaney said: “We do that all the time with foreign policy.”*
