The man is always improving, a competitive beast.
He refuses to accept any superior on the “running countries to the ground” sport.

It may be an entire department this time.
It’s sacking all the way down.
Well, sure, eliminate the Bureau of Labor Statistics entirely and presto! No more bad numbers! Whatever the White House publishes is The Truth.
The replacement didn’t actually get to work yet. Today’s news:
Trump’s pick to run Bureau of Labor Statistics has history of anti-LGBTQ+, misogynist tweets
From 2017 through 2020, Antoni posted comments on Twitter (now called X) that included “sexually degrading attacks on Kamala Harris , derogatory remarks about gay people, conspiracy theories, and crude insults aimed at critics of President Donald Trump,” CNN reports. . . .
In 2018, when U.S. Sen. John McCain died, Antoni tweeted under his real name, “I like a senator who doesn’t die.” That echoes Trump’s comment about McCain being taken prisoner in the Vietnam War: “I like people who weren’t captured.”
Of course he does. (BTW, his picture pings my gaydar.)
That should guarantee his appointment with the Trump supporters.
He’s not disimilar in that to Robert Mugabe, Pol Pot and a host of other dictators.
There is a caveat, though. Mugabe was a very intelligent man. In fact, those who have presided over running their countries into the ground have tended to be intelligent. Often evil, but not stupid.
Trump is not evil, in my opinion. Just terminally stupid and gullible, led by people who are evil.
Nah, he’s both. Evil and stupid. Or at least evil and uninterested in anything except himself, with a side of dementia.

This, he doesn’t think he’s evil, hardly anybody does outside fantasy fiction. But he certainly is, the number of unambiguously evil things he’s done, like reveling in death and destruction, making fun of sick or disabled people, actively subverting his own country’s democracy, etc. etc. prove it.
Undoubtedly. What he is, of course, is exceptionally egotistical, selfish, greedy, petty, and vindictive, all of which roll up into behavior and attitudes which are, to most people, objectively “evil.” He fundamentally doesn’t care about anyone but himself.
You left out the mental and emotional maturity of a rather slow toddler (with apologies to any slow toddlers who may be offended).
robby:
Great…looks like Trump’s idiotic economic policies are taking an economy that was humming along fairly well under Biden and is instead now lurching toward high inflation, stagnant economic growth, and high unemployment—in other words, classic stagflation.
Or in still other words: classic Republican-Control-of-Government. (My bolding.)

But without the intellectual curiosity of toddlers.
Pro-tip: do not hold your breath expecting anybody in the USA to meaningfully push back on their iDJT.
“Obeying in advance” is their national sport.
More good news for the Trump economy.
Caleb Ragland , a Kentucky farmer and president of the American Soybean Association, is warning of an agricultural crisis as China has placed zero soybean orders for the upcoming harvest. It’s a departure from typical patterns, where 25% of the U.S. crop goes to China. With prices 40% below three-year highs and production costs rising, hundreds of thousands of farmers face losses unless there’s a trade resolution between the two countries.
Also,
The U.S. economy added 911,000 fewer jobs in the year ending in March than estimated, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said on Tuesday.
Why it matters: The labor market had less momentum than previously known over the past year, even as the current hiring slowdown raises concerns about the economy’s health
The big picture: The data, which is preliminary, suggests that President Trump came into office with a labor market that was weaker than initially thought. It continued to weaken after his inauguration.
How it works: The BLS compiles monthly jobs reports based on surveys from households and businesses.
The agency updates that data on a lag with more complete information from unemployment insurance tax records.
This report — the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages — can show drastic revisions of previously released data.
The revisions released on Tuesday were worse than the downward adjustment of 700,000 anticipated.

What we need here is some good ol’ American SOCIALISM!!!
Which is bad, from an economic news standpoint, but we all know that this administration’s spin will be “that was all Biden.”

I was pleasantly surprised that the revised job numbers were bad. I figured it would be something like “5 billion jobs added”.
ETA: I wonder who’s getting fired tomorrow?
