I was going to say “That Bush certainly seems to have a hard-on for Saddam,” but I guess I won’t.
Maybe my sense of humor is impaired, but where you see a sophisticated political satire, I see gayness used for cheap laughs.
I don’t know about Bush having a hard-on for Saddam, but I know that Saddam has a hard-on for Satan.

No pun intended (er, yeah. I expect you to believe that…;)), but I think I’m in between you and matt. I see where you’re coming from and I see political satire. However, the gayness I see more as being used to poke fun at GWB’s stance on non-hetness. For what reason, I dunno. ::shrug::
I don’t think anyone called it “sophisticated” but it ain’t “gayness used for cheap laughs” either. If it had been Ronald Reagan and Thatcher instead it would have been just as funny (if it didn’t seem too dated).

Yeah. Coldfire also wonders why this thread wasn’t placed in, say, MPSIMS, like the thread linked to by beagledave. It’s a humourous movie (although some seem to disagree about that, too), which -with the right accompanying OP- could be either seen as funny, or dismissed as harmless.
The way it is now, and in the forum it is now, it’ll only provoke the Bush camp to respond in anger, and it’ll only urge the anti-Bush camp to see it as more than it is: a joke.
The question then is, Stoid: why put it in the Pit? And why then only come back to post words to the effect of “I told you so”, when the inevitable reactions have already been posted?
