Or the film which proves that I’d never make it in Hollywood. It’s about the struggle of one writer to get his idea for a TV series made. Sigourney Weaver plays the ultimate shallow bitch in the film. She screws with David Duchovny’s story, while claiming to be supportive of everything he’s trying to do. About 10 minutes into the film, I was ready to kill her. To say that this film was scathing in it’s commentary on how the networks go about making TV shows is akin to calling the Titanic a “boat.” Given the image that’s presented, it’s a wonder that anything gets made at all, muchless anything decent.
A must see film, along with This Film is Not Yet Rated.
