The Twisted Movie Title Game!

Here’s a game that I learned years ago from a friend, a Haah-vad grad. It’s a little difficult to explain in writing, but I’ll do my best.

You think of a title of a movie, and then make up a silly title which rhymes with the real title. You do not share this with the others yet. Then you say, “I’m thinking about a movie that is about [then describe the pretend title without actually saying it] and it rhymes with a movie that is about [then describe the real movie].” The next person guesses the pretend title. Told you it was hard in writing!

Here’s an example: I’m thinking about a movie that is about calling repeatedly for sheep hair by name, and it rhymes with a popular boxing movie starring Robert Deniro.

Answer: “Paging Wool”

Boooooo! Best I could come up with at work. This is a game that the Board’s movie buffs will ace. Any takers?

I’m thinking of a movie about a sunburned bird, and it rhymes with the name of a recent Jim Carrey biopic.

Tan on the Loon.

I’m thinking of a movie about loose women in a tavern, and it rhymes with apopular 70’s sci-fi movie.

Bar Whores

I’m thinking of a movie about the joy of humping someone’s head (SDMB joke), and it rhymes with this summer’s surprise hit about fowls planning an escape.

Squicking Fun

 that’s disgusting.

I’m thinking about a movie that’s about a group of witches held captive that rhymes with a movie about super heroes.

Squickin’ Fun

Hex Pen

I’m think of a movie about mute political commentators, and it rhymes with an early Terry Gilliam movie.

Mime Pundits?

Yup, I’m kind of proud of that one, actually.

I’m thinking of a movie about a generous, bountiful afterlife and it rhymes with a 1960 western starring Yul Brenner.

Munificent Heaven?

I’m thinking of a movie about the terrible spill taken by my mother’s mother.

and it rhymes with…?

Crap! It rhymes with an oscar winning comedy.

Does it rhyme with a Diane Keaton/Woody Allen movie?

Granny Fall

Annie Hall
