Wow. That is one of the most impressive pitting I have ever seen. But you forgot to mention that Aldebaran is a doo-doo head.
To continue the hijack on my coding anomaly: It seems to be some kid of trick of the software in which it doesn’t interpret any of the code if the closing tag has a comma between the bracket and the slash
**like this[,/b]
We know how now…but why?
I see one tiny flaw in your monument monument.
Oh, pay no mind to Reeder; none of us really do, after all. But just to clarify: he’s channeling the dearly departed Lolo.
Although really, it should have been “Aldebaran: I’m not impressed.”
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!:sad
Above references monument monument.
It was an otherwise otherwise excellent piece of work.
Hey, at least each “monument” is a different link… monumental, you might say.
Nice work, Ilsa, and well-deserved, I must say.
What’s the problem? You’ve dug up a lot of his threads but I don’t see anything wrong with them. What has he said that isn’t true?
Diogenes the Cynic: Please tell me you’re kidding.
So–you’ve read his threads and nothing strikes you as, well, assholish about them? I think you just pitted yourself (not surprised, really).
He more or less claimed that Bush ordered the invasion of Iraq in order to convert the Iraqis to his version of Christianity. And of course, this is perfectly true, judging by all the awful stories in the media about the Army’s policy of converting terrified Iraqi muslims at gunpoint.
Wait a minute, I haven’t heard of a single case of that happening. So it isn’t true. And you’re a well-known vacuous partisan.
I caught that.
I am impressed with the coding and research of the OP. And that’s extraordinarily hard to do with a Pit OP.
::bows::
Una
That would, of course, fit in perfectly with their ongoing colonization of Iraq.
Oh, wait…
Oh, and Ilsa, would you marry me? Please?
DtC lives in a different world, where everything moves to the beat of his bleeding heart. I envy his world, for everything is as he says it to be. Fortunately for us sane ones, however, his world is not our world. No, ours is a boring world, a gray world, a world of facts, evidence, and rationality. Oh, lament, lament, for we are lost in a world without orange skies, red grass, and yellow water! We are lost in a world where a foaming-mouth fit of rage doesn’t instantly make events fall into place according to our desire!
We must worship Diogenes, for clearly he is our superior in every way.
Man, that was a REAL feel-good 11,000th post.
I created some yellow water this morning.
But, Alderaan is a peaceful basketball, I mean planet! We have no weapons!
I don’t remember Aldebaran saying that was the reason for the invasion but he fears (with some justification) that an influx of fundie proselytizers will be a byproduct of the invasion.
Also, Bush is on record as saying that he thinks he was “called by God” to wage his idiotic war and he used the term "crusade’ to describe it. That’s a term that is quite loaded for Muslims. It sounds much the same to them as jihad does to westerners. “Crusade” may have a lot of nuance to us but to a lot of Muslims it means Christians killing Muslims. Jihad has quite a range of nuance in Arabic (it really means “struggle” and is more often associated with spiritual struggle than with warfare). The sight of a Bible banging, Christian zealot POTUS ranting on about “crusades” in the middle east is quite naturally going to make the hair stand up on the necks of a lot of Muslims, the overwhelming majority of which have fuck-all to do with 9/11 or with terrorism. When you consider the POTUS has already proven that he will lie to justify attacks on Muslim countries then Aldebaran’s fear is quite reasonable. I personally have no faith at all that Bush will not lie again or that he has any personal conscience about killing more innocent people. He has that moral vaccuum that only religious zealotry can produce.
