A glass house. No interior walls. Thus you can always see into it every corner of it before entering, you can see outside it before crazed escaped homicidal maniac or zombies make their attack and in case someone **does ** get in to attack you people outside can see in more easily and help render assistance. Of course location would be essential as you would want to be somewhere well lit and flooded with people at all times. Like the middle of one of the expressways of a major city since they always have traffic at all hours of the day. Someplace like Times Square might work too.
Glass house is good but make the exterior of it a mirror but from the inside you can look out. Then you can place it in the woods. That way your house is invisible.
You know, on further thought you should probably just forget having a TV at all. People going in, monsters coming out, just stick with a radio - its slightly safer.
