I remembered them, since they came up this week, so they were real easy to find.
pepperlandgirl I seem to recall you turning up at all the troll threads, also always with excuses that turn out to be wrong. That fits the name “jerk”.

If you had READ the posts, you would have seen that idn’t say they weren’t trolls, or that they shouldn’t be banned.
I said that the reference, denied by several people above as impossible to find, was there at the first try.

You stated he was banned (implying in the process that it was arbitrary, malicious, and/or in error), pepperland said he wasn’t. SHE was right. Satan was simply warned that if he continued to be a jerk, he would be banned.
That first thread you cited explains why he’s AWOL. He’s not working, so no ability to post. He wasn’t banned, he didn’t even take time off to cool off after the warning. Circumstances beyond his, or the SDMB Admins’ control came up.

The reason I asked you this? If you had a valid reason, it would be there for the world to see. People -myself included- would get less suspicious about the matter. See, posting to troll-related threads is not a crime per se, but if half of your posts can be found in that sort of threads, well… suffice it to say that it doesn’t look good on a person. Especially when they’re relatively new, and/or have very few posts. Anything that can change that image is good for me, AND for you, Sangria.

Huh? As far as I’m concerned, waterj2 is a decent poster who loves this Board, and voices his opinion when people act like jerks. As manhattan demonstrated earlier in this thread, waterj2 was not wrong in this case.

We all have to have a thick skin at times. On these boards, people debate their convictions, their beliefs. Often, things get out of hand because of the diversity of people we have here. Sometimes, the Pit is used in such cases.
But one poster is enough to send you off crying? ONE? We have about 11,000 members. Some will like you, and some won’t. If you move to a village with 11,000 inhabitants, the scenario is identical. The butchers wife may like you, and the pharmasist may detest you from day one. Let it slide.
And I’m not buying your “I could never remember all the names of those meanies” crap. You are always able to revive Byzantine’s name. What’s so hard about the others?
You also seem to focus on this sort of discussion, so it can’t be that hard to revive the story. It’s all you talk about. Unless the true evidence isn’t as hard as you’d like it to be. Just a thought.
Banned after one post, and rightly so. When you register twice, you also get to read the rules twice. You violated them knowingly. People might frown upon that. And if they do, they’re not necessarily jerks. They might just be right.
The error was corrected, and you retained your posting rights. All seemed to be fine.
THEN WHY DO YOU KEEP BRINGING YOUR MARTYR STORY UP PERIODICALLY?
Why don’t you focus on the things you like on these boards, instead of constantly reviving old fights, related or unrelated (as in this case) to the OP?

As for my post in the thread about Andros and an alphabet’s worth of sockpuppets, it could not have possibly been incorrect. Every sentence in it was a question. None of which No Bones ever answered. Is asking for clarification somehow wrong?
As for why Tallahassee was banned, that was because Sangria wasn’t. If you want a new name, you have to give up your old one. It’s not a difficult or obscure concept. If you wanted to be Tallahassee instead of Sangria, you could have, had you asked first over email.
I constantly refute this nonsense from people like you, and often get slandered or insulted in the process, and I’m a toady? I’m supposed to simply abide lies, half-truths, out of context quotes, insults, and complete non sequiturs then?
As I read the rest of the posts in this thread (I stopped WAY too early,I can see that now), I see MEBuckner is not the problem here and I withdraw my question from the previous posting.
I also see that some people really enjoy playing “Let’s you and him fight.” And others feel like even bad attention is better than none at all.
Bottom line: the administration of this board does what we do because that’s how the board owner, namely the Chicago Reader, likes us to do it. If you do not share that view there’s a zillion other boards in cyberspace and you’re invited to check them all out, perhaps you’ll find one more to your liking.
