I called direct tv to cancel and they made me a better deal. However, the first guy I talked to said they could give me a land line and they can’t, they don’t have the service out here. I’m not that far into the boonies, but I may as well be sometimes.
Nava - my mother has been doing some disturbing things, but she is my niece’s problem now. Even more disturbing is that she brags about it.
When I was there last I looked at all the empty/half empty juice/water bottles on her dining table. Along with a few dirty plates and a half eaten bowl of cereal, miscellaneous toys and parts of toys and thought, ‘Wow, I’ll bet you wish you could go back to when the biggest thing you had to complain about was my stack of mail on the corner of the table.’
I didn’t say it, but I thought it.

Damnit! I inquired; I did not win the second lottery (this one was only $190 in entry fees, + gas, tolls, food, & at least one, but probably two hotel nights.)
Now it looks like I’m only away two weekends (instead of three) in June…plus at least two in July…& three (as of now, may have to cut one or two out) in Aug. I would love to get another dog, but summer (& fall) weekends are a problem. Wouldn’t be able to take one for a lot of those weekends away, it gets expensive to kennel/ hire a dog sitter, & it’s not fair to the beast to leave him/her on so many weekends.
Dindin has been ingested. ‘Twas good and leftovers for tomorrow night, so win-win! I need to go provision shoppin’ tomorrow for the makin’s of pimento cheese sammiches. I have enough pimentos and mayo but need extra sharp cheddar cheese and bread so’s I can make a buncha sammiches. This will be for Wednesday soup 'n sammich over to the church house. I like the Lenten soup 'n sammich doin’s. Lots of good soups!
bumba, the company that I work for fulfills insurance claims on mobile devices, including fitbits. According to the returns management supervisor, the biggest reason they are returned is a broken band. And I would totally wear one if it could tell me my BG level without me having to poke myself.
I had a can of horrible Hormel chili around 3 ish so I am not starving. May have a bowl of cereal. What I reallly want is some mac and cheese but don’t have it. Hubby cooked a poke shoulder this weekend but I am porked out. Decisions, decisions. I had a long day at irk and could just go to bed now but ''tis too early.
I pulled together all the reports I need to write the budget so I shall start that tomorrow. It is a plan but is really a request to Devine the future. So much of what we do is weather dependant. I do not have a crystal ball. Need a lotto win. Must start playing.
I have closed da cave windows. ‘Twas beginnin’ to get a bit chillified. Now we shall retire to the boudoir to watch teevee until sleepy time. OYKW says he’s real tahrd tonight so I expect he’ll be in sleepyland before long, poor thing.
Soccer balls acquired and weight bags (to hold down portable goals) ordered (you can get anything you want on the internet). Dinner (such as it was) has been consumed and browsing the web will occupy the evening. Rain forecast for tomorrow, so the car place told me it was OK to do the test drive on Wednesday.
I feel that, as a public service, I must show you “This Is Hormel.” The un-Rifftraxed version because you actually ate it. This is the video that ensured I will never eat another hot dog again I do not care if it is vegetarian, Kosher, or served on God’s Own Picnic Table. It also turned my vegetarian friend off gelatin because, up till that point, he didn’t know that gelatin came from pigs.
In good culinary news, I discovered that if you keep the avocados next to the bananas you can have guacamole quicker. Bananas ripen everything!
Work was brutal but also much fun; our OPS manager for the day put all us who share this day together on one lane. And since we do indeed work and play well together it was quite a time. I am the oldest of the three of us but I keep reminding them that growing old is required ---- growing up I just refuse to do.

Is today some kind of holiday I don’t know about? There was almost no traffic on the drive in and many empty parking spaces at WaWa when I stopped to get a salad for lunch. It’s *never *such an easy commute!
Email invite to the company year-in-review meeting. I went to the one last year - a whole week after I was hired! Now at least, I should have some idea of what they’re talking about. Plus free lunch! So yay!! Three weeks away, but still - free lunch!
Things are moving forward for the new shed/garage/paint booth acquisition. Today, the guy is supposed to come to put down the foundation. Assuming that happens (possible rain today, so who knows…) then next week when **FCD **gets back from FL, we’ll have the shed/garage delivered. We’re buying one off the lot, so we’re saving several hundred bucks over having one custom-made. That means we won’t get the colors we’d have chosen if we’d ordered one. It’s not worth the extra $$$ to get a different color.
Once it’s in place, **FCD **will run an air line and power from the house to the new building and he’ll move all his airbrush stuff from the basement. No more chemical stink in the house - yay! And if he ever decided to quit airbrushing, we’ll have an extra garage for the truck or his motorcycle - double yay! In fact, he plans to store his bike in there anyway, freeing up some space in the attached garage. Win all around!

Today I shall go buy provisions for pimento cheese sammiches, plus other stuff needed at da cave. This afternoon I shall venture up to large and in charge Dawson, Jawja to visit JDD’s ‘rents at the nursin’ home. Haven’t been in a while so I need to do so. I think I shall also make the pimento cheese as I find it better when it sets overnight in da fridge.
