The US Medal of Valor a Satanic pentagram?

Where did the OP go? Did the Army or Satan get him for noticing the pentagram in the Medal of Valor?

It’s your own damn fault, you and Tuba and Dex! :stuck_out_tongue:

Sure. My pleasure.

So, I assume we’re all going with “crazy,” correct?

I like the hypothesis that because it is a pendant, that two contact points to the associated necklace/ribbon make a much more solid connection. And since the USA flag uses five pointed stars (for varying reasons), it is only expect that the most prestigious award use that same symbol.

It is not as we, as a nonJewish country could have stolen the six-pointed star of David.
Or the Seven pointed star of Macedonia and Alexander the Great.
After that is gets kind of silly.

And a four pointed star looks like the Star of Bethlehem, and that my fellow Dopers is just … uh… dumb.

So, looks like we are stuck with 5.

Any arguments?

But the Bronze Star and Silver Star are also pendants, yet are only connected to their respective ribbon via a single point.

It also kinda traces a “V”. I wonder what that could stand for, in context.

Hey, I didn’t say it made sense.

Come on man.

You have a good point.
Maybe they deliberately made the Medal of Valor differently on purpose because it, like the Eagle Scout medallion is significantly different that that of Life or Star.

It is an interesting question.
But, as a nonChristian I will bet you dollars to donuts that it isn’t Satanic.

ETA: And it does look like a ‘V’.
And it does look cool.

Have you ever seen one in real life?
I have. They are the epitome of cool.
I mean if you were kind of kid who grew up playing ‘Army’.
And were in the service.

Yes but the MoH design original design had an eagle perched between the points.

Nah, it’s gotta be worth more than that. I want a Dove bar at least, if I can’t get some Godiva. Dark chocolate, naturally.
