The version of Ode to Joy that everyone knows

I may be mistaken, but I suspect that there’s one version of Beethoven’s Ode And die Freude (from the ninth symphony) that has become popular and recognizable. At least to me; when I think of that song I hear a very powerful chorus belting out “Freude, schöner Götterfunken, …

It seems to me it’s been in any number of movies as an attempt at dramatic or comedic effect.

Does anybody have a clue what I’m getting at? If so, whose performance is it that’s been used this way?

Don’t have my vinyl collection handy but I believe in A Clockwork Orange the performance was by the London Philharmonic. Not sure whose performance was in Die Hard. I don’t immediately recall some of the other countless films.

Love the Glorious Ninth!
