Continuing from this thread about week 1.
Kelsie May: “You’re Looking at Country” - 3 turns. She was really good, but needs a tad bit of work.
Kimberly Nichole: “Nutbush City Limits” - 2 turns. I think that she should have started out stronger and I’m surprised that she went with Parrell.
Michael Leier: “Last Kiss” - 2 turns. I think his nerves got the better of him, but I still thought he did pretty good.
Hannah Ellis “This One’s For The Girls” 0 turns. I liked her and was surprised that no-one turned.
Travis Ewing: “Say My Name” - 3 turns. Not crazy about his style, but I like his voice.
Montage: Noelle Bybee, “Unbelievers,” Bren’nae DeBarge, “Golden,” and James McNeiece, “Lay Me Down” - I wanted to see the whole performances, darn it.
Sonic: “Money on My Mind” - 2 turns. I’m confused, is she a hedgehog or a fast food restaurant? Anyway, good voice, but that high and low style was a little too weird for my tastes.
Ella Khorov: “I Can’t stand the rain” - 0 turns. I was shocked. I loved her gravely voice.
Jacob Rummell: “Count on Me” - 2 turns. I didn’t think that he had a strong performance myself.
Barry Minniefield: “Me and Mrs. Jones” - 1 turn. I loved it and I’m so glad that Adam turned. The only reason I can think of why the other coaches didn’t turn (Christina’s excuse not withstanding) is that maybe he sounded too lounge-y?
Montage: Nicolette Maré, “Everything Has Changed,” Clinton Washington, “Candle in the Wind,” and Matt Snook, “Red Dirt Road.” - Another set of singers we have no clue about.
India Carney: “New York State of Mind” - 4 turns. I thought that she was good, but she didn’t wow me like she did the coaches.
Well, yet another strong night. I think that this season will be great. Well, as long as the coaches don’t send the strong singers home. They’ve been known to do that from time to time.
