Some combination of mulcher/incinerator. What I don’t get is why they wouldn’t spend time to build giant concrete walls, and moats. A giant trench that you periodically burn may work - though the resulting fumes would be nasty and probably act as a beacon.
Doesn’t this episode demonstrate that corpses make good bedding material when you need some introspective me-time?
Oh yeah. Good point. There must be a way to sound an alarm, though.
I go Patriotx’s bio fuels. Render 'em down.
Abraham was wearing hard-knuckle gloves in this episode and in the 14th episode as well.
Heavy gauntleted gloves. High leather boots. Forearm protectors, like the one Brad Pitt made out of magazines and strapping tape at the beginning of World War Z.
Seems like these would be standard procedure. And some kind of neck and shoulder protectors, considering how many people seem to get stealth attacked by zombies who sneak up and take a hunk out of their necks…
Consider a small station consisting of a bright flashing light powered by a truck battery. Flip a switch to turn it on. Place stations like this at all the intersections and elsewhere. If you see a flashing light, go immediately to the nearest light station and turn it on as well. Within a few minutes, all the stations should be flashing and everyone who is awake should be alert, and it’s all quiet and virtually invisible outside the walls.
The beacons have been lit - Gondor calls for aid!
According to Guthrie, three people would make it a movement.
I searched the original lyrics and found this gem (this song writes itself).
See that man sitting down under the seat
Walk up and tell him you want something to eat
Because you can eat anyone that you want
At Alice’s restaurant
Oh, oh, yeah, mmm

Yeah, that was a “Hallmark moment”.
BWAHahahahah. It so obvious.
(Now that you’ve pointed it out to me. Doh! :smack: )
Amish are hardcore.
I would like to think that the sound of gunfire would wake some of the residents?
After two+ years, and the recent loss of four scavengers, I assume Alexandria has some method of dealing with the recently deceased. It just hasn’t been discussed on the TV show. Maybe Drunk Doc delivered the coup de grâce?
Judging by the poor shooting performance at the construction site, I’m not sure Alexandrians understand the importance of destroying the brain. Abe Ford should have that fact drilled into their heads, and the cobwebs outta their asses, by the start of Season 6.
I don’t think Walkers are like Vampire in that they need “food” to live. I think they eat flesh because whatever disease causes them to shamble about also drives them to eat flesh. I would bet a Zombie with a hole in it stomach would probably just keep re eating the same gore over and over.
Only took two to catch Beth. Admittedly, the hospital folks did seem pretty dependent, considering none of them wanted to be free.
There is also the matter of a pack of armed cops… suddenly having to integrate into a society where they don’t give the orders, and no one has to wait on them hand and foot. I think we’ve already established that these are not good people, even if the worst of them are now dead.
Daryl, of course, could handle them all singlehandedly with his hands behind his back, but this would not solve the problem of integrating them into Alexandria.
this needs to be in the credits instead of meadow zombie.
the mental picture is a surreal blend and somehow beethoven’s 6th is playing…
It’s funny how they’ve explored an area 50 miles out from Alexandria. That covers a ton of metro area. Seems like they could find more people.
they did state that the area had been largely evacuated.
They’re finding all KINDS of people. It’s just that the vast majority seem to be life-impaired…
Yeah that’s what they said, but there’s no shortage of zombies. I think they said Northern VA was evacuated, but that still leaves DC & Maryland. That whole region is pretty densely populated. Guess that’s where all the zombies are migrating in from. I know we just have to accept what they tell us.
