I think “The Formula” only triggers when there’s more than one black man in our Mötley crew, and it takes time to build up to trigger point…
…typically the time it takes to start liking that character, E.G. Noah, who was also showing signs of becoming a Moral Compass…
Now that Morgan is here, we better hope The Formula doesn’t trigger on him, if we are to lose another black man to the formula, it should be fuckwit Gabriel, he’s firmly established himself as useless at best (even more useless than LPITA) and dangerous at worst…
Problem is, he shows no signs of being a Moral Compass, but Morgan does…
The series has diverged so far from the comics that there is really no chance of spoilers. It’s almost an entirely different set of characters and situations.
I call BS on that. Not to drudge this argument up again, but I recently read a comics vs show review of the previous episode (because I like to torture myself) and except for a few timeline details and character difference like the leader of Alexandria being a dude named Douglas the MAIN points were the same.
One of the things driving me crazy is that nobody seems to ask anymore if there is civilization left. Does anyone in Alexandria have a short wave radio? Have they taken a trek over to D.C. to see if pockets of government are left?
It would sure suck to live like hermits if the army has regrouped and has taken back 3/4 of the country.
A storyline I’ve always felt would be interesting for ANY zombie apocalypse story would be the reunification of the U.S.A.
A bunker opens. Turns out a group of politicians and an army division, with functioning weapons and vehicles, has ridden out the disaster in isolated safety. They decide to reestablish the national government and set about rebuilding the country.
How would groups like the Alexandria Safe Zone, Woodbury, and other groups handle this? What kind of conflicts would arise? Particularly if the “govvamint” decided to requisition supplies, crops, or “taxes…”
Which begs the question of how long any given naval vessel could remain in service and reasonably functional without the facilities of a functioning Navy base.
I’ve been saying FOREVER that whenever they go out on a scavenging run they need to take along a gaggle of neutered zombies not only for protection and camo, but for free labor! Strap em’ up with your scavenged goods in backpacks!
When our characters have been doing walkabouts, let the freaking neutered zombies carry supplies and the load.
Honestly if I was in the Walking Dead world, I’d wear zombie guts camo whenever in “public”, hell seems best to stay in a swarm even protection from human raiders or psychos.
I would have no mental crisis about becoming the dead.
This is one of my biggest disappointments with this show. It is dead simple to rig up a simple 20 or 40m dipole for a ham radio and power it with a car battery. There should be an entire world-wide network of radio operators exchanging info by now.
Assuming by civilization you mean a small town (Woodbury), subdivision (Shirewilt Estates), or wandering group (claimers), that is still subject to rules, then civilization, such as it is, still exists. If you’re referring to larger cities that have managed to effectively deal with their zombie hoards, and have returned to a democratic republic with farming, energy production, and actual defensive capabilities, I assume that such a society would, eventually, search for other survivors with armored vehicles and aircraft.
Atlanta is a zombie wasteland. The last remaining CDC official/scientist blowed the place up real gud. There are no aircraft in the sky. Radio’s are available, if anyone else should be broadcasting. At this point in time, if people want civilization, it’s up to them to provide their own (until rescue arrives?).
Maybe Europe, or Asia, wasn’t effected? Maybe the colder climates of a Canada, Sweden, and Siberia weren’t affected?
