The Walking Dead; 6.01 "First Time Again" (open spoilers)

I thought Gabriel nodded agreement when Deanna said he was wrong, and that was supposed to show he had come back into the fold. Maybe not, but that scene doesn’t make a lot of sense to me otherwise.

You and me, both! Oh, how I hate him…

The most reasonable seems to be to have found a way to destroy or permanently block the ramp-
Remembering the old joke about flies in the motel room–the pit bunched the zombies. Leaving the zombies be seemed like a sensible plan while beefing up the pit safeguards, but Rick’s plan didn’t seem crazy crazy.

I think they only referenced luring them 20 miles away but, if you have bike and car bait leading them away lead them as far as you can.

He came back into the fold at the end of last season didn’t he?

Fuckwit still needs to did.

A bigger quarry?

They could drive them all off a high cliff, providing one of zombie-shattering height was available.

That scene made it clear that Deanna doesn’t believe Gabriel. It doesn’t prove Gabriel is back in the fold, or is trying to get back into the fold. They both now know where Deanna stands. It’s possible that Gabriel is trying to get back into the fold. He’s just not trustworthy at this point in time.

After failing in his attempts to get others to kill him, walkers, Sasha, etc., Gabriel spent time with Maggie and may have come to grips with what he’s done and what he needs to do???

One of my thoughts was there’s gotta be a shit-load of dynamite at the quarry. I was thinking they could rig up some way to catapult explosives into the zombie crowd, until most of them were gone.

Some one else quarry.

All that was missing was the marching band. Grab the rest of Alexandria, dress them in the garb and have the play “When the Saints Go Marching On,” and their distracting noise problems are solved.

Is it just me or did Heath’s introduction seem forced? He and his friends just show up and tell Eugene “Oh, we live here, we’ve just been away!” And why aren’t the gatekeepers given walkie talkies to communicate? Meanwhile, we see next to nothing of Aaron…

Pretty good season opener. The B&W scenes helped me keep track of what was the past and what is the present, so no probs with that. No sign of Corl, not that I care in the least about the little shit. Yes, I said “Corl”.

It was a bit shoehorned, but not as bad as it could’ve been. At least they did it during the flash-back phase, which in show-time, he’s been back for a few weeks.

Yeh, it felt weird they didn’t have even one scene with KORL.

I liked the B&W flashbacks too. I like how it mostly lent itself to “point” in the flashback and “resolution” in the present. For instance, when Rick was delivering his monologue about how guys like Carter shouldn’t even still be alive at this point, how he’ll end up dead no matter what. Then the very next flash-forward was his face getting bitten off.

its Coral Damnit.

This episode was good, better than most by a long shot, but
As usual there was a super convenient cliff that lead right back into the same effing quarry. They could have literally just lead them in a short loop to a long fall. Any that survive and are some how still mobile just run the loop again.

Is that where the other jack-knifed semi was? I remember there were two ramps closed off by semis, and they were worried about the one that would lead them into their town. I didn’t really catch where the other one lead?

So what was supposed to happen when Darryl (and Abraham and Sasha) get 20 miles down the road and need to head home? Why won’t the walker horde follow them back?

Because they would drive off in the distance, and blow a big loud horn. Or something.

Rick saved the kid and the Zombies chasing him ran right off the edge and splattered.
