Oh, and Glen is definitely not dead. Those were quite obviously not his guts being pulled apart and his head is right next to the bottom of the dumpster they fell from. A dumpster that has a conveniently human-sized crawl space underneath it, and brick walls surrounding three sides of it. He is going to get under the dumpster and survive.
I wonder how long Morgan had the Wolf in captivity - or in other words, how long it took Rick to get from the motor home to the gate of Alexandria?
Glenn isn’t even as dead as Jon Snow, and we all know Jon Snow’s only temporarily mostly dead.
Of course they’re going to make us wait for ages to see Glenn’s escape. Did you really expect anything else?
I thought it was a good episode, the only big flaw for me was Eastman getting bitten in such a dumb way.
Oh, and it’s just under 1:05 without ads, nowhere near 90 minutes.
Out of curiosity, which ones?
OK, I hate to say it again and again, but Morgan needs to die. Not just because he saved one of the wolves, but because his backstory is fucking boring.
Is that Wolf who survived the same guy who plays the Geico Caveman? He sure seems like the same guy.
Meh, I say, Meh! I get bored by stories in which a character has gone insane because of the convenient arbitrariness of the premise.
Why is he acting that way - because he’s nuts!
Why does he want to kill his “therapist” - because he’s nuts!
How is he getting better? - his nuttiness is abating!
Will he suffer lasting psychological damage or just shrug this episode off, never to mention it again? - Never mention it again, because this is TV and continuity is nuts!
I voted ‘Meh’ but I’m posting to chime in with the cries of ‘Bastards!’ (and “well that was a spectacularly dumb way to get bit/dumb way to get rid of a character you’ve no use for anymore”).
Only if he has an immunity to having his insides torn apart and eaten.
It’s a good think Eastman can tell the difference between “evil psychotic” and just “damaged person with a bad brain” psychotic.
I wonder if Morgan will see his captured Wolf as pure evil and have his new morality crushed by having to kill him, or do we wait until he escapes, kills someone we care about and then Morgan has his morality crushed and has to kill him? Or are we expected to believe this isn’t going to bite him in the ass somehow? Because I’m a bit sick of this “let me put the entire group in extreme danger with my commitment to not killing” nonsense.
Also, how does one become a Wolf? I mean they can’t have much in the way of recruitment if they kill every single person they meet.
Speaking of Wolves - Given all the hype (the knocked down subdivision wall, the threatening graffiti, the branded cadavers, the elaborate trap with the semi trailers) I expected a well-equipped, well-organized cohesive group that could easily overwhelm Alexandria. So far, it’s just a disorganized group of unarmed, undiscipled, untrained nutjobs running amok. Although they caused some damage, they were pretty easily defeated by Carol, and to a lesser degree Morgan.
Unless all we have seen so far is some kind of recon detatchment, I am going to be annoyed at the disconnection.
I liked it because I thought the actors did a great performance. The first few minutes I thought Morgan was going apocalyptic scientologist with the clear business. I hope they did not hurt that goat, that looked too real.
I liked it. I knew we weren’t going to get any resolution on Glenn from the previews so I wasn’t disappointed.
Doesn’t look like we’re going to see Glenn next week either, so prepare yourselves.
My guess is that we won’t see any Glenn until the mid-season finale.
“Can you step away from the goat” (Tabitha?). heheheh. That’s a TWD quote that ranks right up there with, “Just look at the flowers, Lizzie”.
Kill Me is a stupid name.
Who doesn’t check to see if the locked door is locked?
PTSD. The hardest part of surviving in this ZA is finding a reason to get out of bed each morning. What do you have to live for? You have the zombie cooties. When you die, you will turn. Everyone you know will turn. Zombies will try to kill you. The living will try to kill you. Nature will try to kill you. Your friends may try to kill you, accidentally or on purpose. What this walker pandemic needs is a cheese-making, forensic psychiatrist, trained in Akido. So they killed him off.
I believe that this episode was used by the writers to answer the viewers who question the mood swings of the characters. PTSD. First they’re OK, then they’re depressed, then they’re psychotic, and then they’re sorta OK for a while. Until something else triggers another medical episode.
I liked it. It was an engaging 90 minutes of TV. I already don’t care at all about Glenn either way and they did resolve what happens to Rick since you hear him at the Gate at the end so you know he survives.
And no telling how much of him we’ll see either.
I know of no better reason to off a character.
Let’s take a potentially dangerous guy, lock him in a room (call it a hatch, if you will) and not tell anyone else about it. Where have we seen that plot before? It actually worked well last time, in terms of entertainment value, but not seeing the same here.
It’s not known yet whether Deanna, or some other Alexandrians, are aware that’s there’s a live wolf incarcerated within Alexandrian’s walls.
Where did Morgan get the keys to lock the door(s)? Enid had a large set of keys, but I believe she left them with Carl. Morgan is staying at Casa del Grimes. Maybe Morgan does have his own wolf?
Having a prisoner/hostage should prove useful. How many wolves are there? Where is the wolves main camp located? How does the wolves hierarchy/organization operate? What are the wolves plans for Alexandria (besides murdering everyone)? Is waterboarding illegal in a ZA?
My nitpick was Eastman saying “I fixed your spear” by cutting off the pointy end, then later they go stab walkers in the head with their now blunt sticks.
Same here! I didn’t mind the Morgan-centric episode. But it would have been nice to see Eastman survive.
