The Walking Dead; 6.04 "Here’s Not Here" (open spoilers)

We were out of town all weekend, so I just watched the ep and voted. I’m commenting without checking the thread. I did see from the poll that it was hated by some. I’m shocked. I loved it and I put it with some of the best eps of TWD. Yes, I want to see all the Glen stuff resolved too, but I was blown away by the ep.

That’s really interesting. I may not agree with your tone, but you make a very interesting point

I wish this site had either starring or upvoting b/c I would do both.

Glen is both dead and not dead.

Schrodinger’s Glen.
if not already called—Band Name!

Am I being wooshed?

He’s John Carroll Lynch.

Yeah, they don’t even look alike.

Yeah, you are being wooshed. See The Librarians, the series, (and watch the movies that the series came from). It has nothing to do with their looks… but it has a ton to do with their functions in moving the story along. Although I would have gone with Bob Newhart, myself, since he … spoilers for that other show.

I actually liked this ep upon reflection. I liked that it broke up the “WTF is happening???” and filled me in on why Morgan (who has been built up in the TWD as… a demi-god… like the Governor and others) is the wuss he has become.

I wonder what will become of the Wolf: will Morgan leave him in his (Morgan’s) former cell (he got the keys after Rick gave them to him) to starve to death, will he inform the others about the Wolf and they try him in court or leave him locked up or will something distract Morgan and he forgets about the Wolf only for someone to find him months down the road dead and zombified?

The problem with TWD is they are trying to be a Soap Opera (emotions invested, story lines ongoing, never-ending) on a weekly basis for a few months… vs daily. They fill in with interesting stuff… but the week long let alone the months long hiatuses annoy people. And lose actual viewers vs streamers.

I would give up changing scenery or at least minimal scenery for daily 1 hour (minus commercials) ongoing story. And we only need 1-5 zombies per show (depending on what was happening). The zombies could be far away enough most of the time and killed far away most of the time… that the guys in charge of make-up/zombies wouldn’t be paid as much or as often.

Unfortunately the comics aren’t that long and I guess the writers aren’t ready to go that route.

“Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.”

Aha! THAT’S where I recognize him from.

That’s because you’re smarter than I am. I assumed they were all Nucking Futs.

I think that is a fair interpretation of events. Not entirely sure I agree if it is right or wrong, I think I’ll have to re-watch the episode with a more critical eye towards the ending. Thanks for the response!

Morgan didn’t seem to be carrying enough to be leaving.
Just his stick and perhaps a pair of clean socks.

Yep, he played the part of Drew’s cross dressing brother. I was half expecting him to show up in one of the TWD scenes in a tutu.

(My Walking Dead band name: Abraham’s Big Red Head.)

He was also Twisty The Clown in last season’s American Horror Story.

I actually DO watch The Librarians. I just didn’t get that was meant as Larroquette’s character as a plot device.

Which frankly, I don’t agree with. Eastman is dead. (As I said I’ve been out of town and have not yet watched my recorded The Librarians premiere yet. I think that something has been spoilered. :frowning: )

I’m having a tough time understanding things today.
He played the actor in the first season.
What has been spoiled?

Mine is “Dolphin Smooth.”
