I’ll bet it’s a Huey.
Just watched it last night off the DVR.

[li]Rick has also seen the helicopter in past episodes so I don’t think it is just a Janis thing. That said, I think she knows something about it but isn’t sharing.[/li][li]Seems that Maggie is in communication with the van/records lady, I wonder where that will go. Jesus mentioned something about “joining her” so that implies there is another group out there?[/li][li]Saviors dude and the ending of the episode - For those here who know about the Whisperers, the savior seeming to recognize whomever it was he encountered just doesn’t jive with the Whisperer’s storyline. So perhaps some of the Saviors going missing have not been at the hands of the Whisperers but perhaps a Negan-loyal group?[/li][/ul]
Overall a fairly good episode. Lots of interplay and tension between the groups that you can feel simmering and will lead to something eventually. I think we’ll see Maggie run into something she just won’t agree to and split off Hilltop but a Negan-loyal group will make an attempt to free Negan and she’ll come to the aid and off Negan in the process.
It occurs to me that during the zombie apocalypse, being incarcerated really isn’t that bad a punishment—I mean, nobody exactly lives in luxury, and for those not in prison, everyday life is fraught with strife and danger, while behind bars, it seems you’re just getting a meal ticket without even having to work for it, and you’re comparatively safe.
That said, if Negan gets out and gets his ‘told ya so’-moment, I think I might punch the telly.
… until there’s a horde, and all of your caretakers are killed or gone, and then you get to slowly die of thirst while surrounded by swarms of the undead.
Sounds like a fitting way for Negan to go, actually.
Yeah, but then, dying in some horrible way is a pretty high chance during the zombie apocalypse all around; not sure if it’s increased by being in a cell. After all, the horde just might’ve gotten to you if you’d been on the outside…
Nah. Vanishing and never being talked about again would be my preferred option. Even giving him some extra special gruesome death would be giving him too much recognition.
I thought last night’s ep was one of the best in quite awhile. “Rick’s rules aren’t the only rules”. Love it! And we got see a bit of Maggie in action, too. Is it too much to hope that Negan isn’t long for this world?
[del]Maggie[/del] Carol in action.
And you had to know that after the family fund day with Rick and Michonne that bad things are about to happen to them.
Yep, the show’s always been about a subtle as a hammer to the head.
I just don’t know where they go from here. Another protracted battle with the Sanctuary folks would be deathly dull.
I’m liking this season and am happy the writers are coming up with some newer, more interesting plot lines. But if they have Negan escape, especially after they get rid of Rick, I may throw in the towel.
But are you an “A” or a “B”?
MtM
Maggie’s got Negan. Her and Daryl will kill him. I just hope Daryl doesn’t kill Rick.
It’s gonna be surprising. Morgan and crew are due to show up. Then there’s the Whisperers. Too many ways for this to go.
Why do you say this?
They can’t show up unless Fear the Walking Dead is getting cancelled. Also, in the FtWD finale, they made it clear that they abandoned the trip to Virginia entirely and decided instead to set up camp in Florida (or Mississippi or somewhere down there) and distribute supply boxes along the highways.
So not only can’t they show up without getting subsumed into the main show (and thus killing the spin-off), the characters no longer plan to.
Did anyone else catch this line?:
Rick(?) to Morgan:
“Keep an eye on her”
Ha!
mmm
Of course they won’t let Rick get chewed up by the walkers and end it. We will have a full hour of flashbacks and music.
Aaacckkk! Oh, God I don’t think I can deal with this death.
About FearTWD, they are gonna join up. It’s already announced. It’s been a good 18mos. And Morgan’s on his way. I don’t know how they’ll deal with 2 shows. I bet they figure something out, though.
Rick to Gabriel the priest, minister guy.
That was a new low.
On FTWD Travis said to his zombified neighbor, “Good morning Susan” but this episode was, IMO, stupider.
I spent most of the ending worried about the horse.
Do you have a link to an announcement? Are you sure you aren’t mixing up the announcement that 4 characters from TWD were going to be on FtWD? (The first episode last season Morgan receives visits from Rick, Carol and Jesus before leaving to go West.)
Morgan is not on his way to Virginia, nor is anybody else. In the finale, he decided not to go to Virginia, but instead to take over the box duty from the guy from Mississippi or wherever. The last scene of the finale was them settling into their new base of operations.
Googling around, I could find no announcement of the two shows merging. I found a lot of blog posts speculating that they would, but those were written during the previous season when the characters were still saying that they were going to Virginia. Again, I can’t emphasize this enough: The characters on FtWD decided NOT to go to Virginia at the end of the finale, and instead set up shop in the South.
That googling did reveal that the FtWD rating are in the shitter, though. They’ve been renewed for a fifth season, but it’s unlikely that they’ll get a sixth. So the series finale could have them go to Virginia. Is that what you mean when you say “merging” the shows?
Two thumbs down on this ep. Stupid people doing stupid things, again. I found myself wishing that both Rick and Daryl would fall back into the pit and get devoured by the Walkers. Next week, though:
Come on Rick Grimes
(don’t fear the rebar).
