I hate this. I don’t really want to watch tonight. 9 years…9 long years! Woe is me.
Let it go? I suppose I have to. Drat, these terrible producers and show writers. How dare they get me all interested and lay this on me. This show is literally the only show I watch religiously. I vow to never get invested in a TV show again.
Even better prediction: Jadis labels him an A, he walks into a helicopter, gives a Nixon double peace sign and flies off. Tom Jones’ “It’s not unusual” plays as the credits roll.
Holy crap. Here we go.
Wow. I was being silly when I said what I did. I think my joke was a better ending than that. I am officially done with the show.
Well I sure wasn’t expecting Rick to survive tonight’s episode.
Also about the preview of the next 3 episodes…
…yet another time jump, and holy shit was that a Walker speaking? I’m really not sure what I think about that.
Answer to your question in the spoiler: Yes. Yes, it was. Don’t read the comics if you want to remain unspoiled.

I am stunned. Ho-ly shit!
I am too, again, about how trope-y and terrible it was and the deus ex machina at the end. The “as I’m dying I recall everyone I’ve loved who have died” has been done to death, but at least in those shows the person dies.
The rescue might as well have had an alien spaceship teleport him to safety and then Sean Connery portray Judith’s new adoptive grandfather and advised her to say, “Grimes, Judith Grimes.”
They kept Rick alive for a sequel movie after the show has ended. Complete bullshit that I hate about TV shows once they get popular. If TV shows are unpopular, they stay good. When they are popular, they do this shit.
Did some of you really like it???
are they now actively stealing stuff from ZN?
I had a cynical prediction and they lived up to every cynical view I have of this show at this point. Nothing but a product, had to keep him alive.
This was not Andrew Lincoln’s final appearance, then. He’ll show up in a season or two.
Oh, and the Negan thing. Isn’t what he said consistent with his normal bullshit? Why did Maggie fall for it? I expected a smile for the camera when he walked to the back of his cell.
He knew Maggie was coming to kill him and he used really lame psychology so that she wouldn’t kill him.
All in all terrible, but Talking Dead seems to be stoking the fan fire for the later episodes. If you all liked this episode then I’m living in the wrong century or the wrong universe.
I wasn’t cynical enough.
This was all nothing.
In which I’m sure it is shown that the Governor survived his wounds and is back to attack Rick in The Battle For the Prison II!!! (with the subplot being a hidden sexual relationship between Glenn and Hershel) These are the Days of Our Lives. I’m done.
I do want to see Carol with long hair. The older Judith actress looked bad-ass. No way that little girl could hold up that hog leg pistol of Ricks. Not to mention aiming and hitting something.
I will give the writers props for one single exchange. When Rick said to Michonne and said that this isn’t real and she said it was, but Wake Up! that was powerful.
IOW, we can dream about our lost love ones and imagine what they would be doing in a certain situation, that is real in the sense that we share that bond no matter what. However, that isn’t the situation at this moment, so wake up. I liked that spiritual aspect.
But, otherwise it was complete shit.
I don’t know what ZN is.

I got really bored with the 2 year Saviors arc. Actually, before that. When all you are doing is constantly fighting the newest baddest villains, it doesn’t make for good story telling. So I’m ok with the time jump. I’m interested to see how they are trying to rebuild society. There can be plenty of conflicts there. And the walkers evolving? That puts them back into the story. They’ve only been dangerous to the really stupid for years.
I must say his escape from the horde was ludicrous, and it actually made my flesh creep watching that - OW MY GOD OW. These people are unbelievably tough, can hardly kill 'em with an axe.
