They’re…not going to move in the direction of Negan being part of their crew, are they? Dude can NEVER be forgiven for killing Abraham and Glenn. And countless others, I assume.
Sure, it wasn’t bad, but I just kept hearing Fry say “Leela, wake up!”
This episode was available for streaming so it is the first one i have seen since the premiere and wow it stank. It was boring and pretentious. Also I get that not all actors are willing to come back but Rick sees Sasha but not Lori or Glenn?
Oh and after the ponderous snooze he isn’t even really dead.
At least I still really like the new credit sequence.
I for one am glad they didn’t kill Rick. 45 minutes of flashback retrospectives or not, having Rick taken out by a piece of rebar would kind of suck IMHO.
I also don’t think Negan was “faking”. I think he’s legitimately broken from months (years) of isolation in jail and coming to terms with the loss of his wife triggered by the loss of his symbolic baseball bat.
Also, I’m pretty sure you can’t blow up dynamite by shooting it. They presumably aren’t using old timey sticks of unstable TNT made from nitroglycerine. I’m also pretty sure you can’t effectively demo a bridge by blowing up a crate of explosives on the road deck.
Also…why was there a crate of explosives on the bridge anyway? I thought they were building it, not blowing it up?
Yes, all of this too.
I don’t necessarily want Rick to die but if the show creates an episode all about building up to his heroic sacrifice that saves everyone and then at the last minute reverses and says, “No wait he’s actually okay” that’s Bullshit.
I don’t think Negan was faking either. He is contrite.
Did Michonne have a baby???
Yes. Appears to be Rick Jr.
Was it my imagination or did the Walkers look less decomposed than normal? That Walker who popped out of the water looked positively buff.
Anyway, this episode was pretty good. I think the time jump was what they needed to get out of the doldrums. But count me as one who isn’t very impressed with the whole Judith thing. She’s just way too young to be any kind of real force in the community. I’m liking the newer, improved Eugene and Carol keeps things going nicely. I’m even warming up to Gabriel, who I would have been happy to see as Walker food not that long ago.
Enjoyed the episode. It was great to see Eugene as an effective zombie-killer, at last. And Carol was totally bad-ass, but that is to be expected…
I generally agree that the stories may be improving, although I am really not a fan of plucky children.
Michonne hasn’t moved on yet? It was maybe 2 years tops between Lorie dying in childbirth and Rick hooking up with Michonne. Rick “died” what, 6 years ago? Time to move on, girl.
We didn’t see anything of Maggie and the Hilltop folks. And jeez Daryl might think about a bath and a haircut. Everyone else seems to have decent hygiene. WTF? Gabriel is a minister and is messing around with women. Doesn’t the bible frown on that?
That crazy Eugene, he is in love with Rosetta.
Talking Zombies? Strange days are coming.
No, it doesn’t. Celibacy is something the Catholic church made up out of thin air several hundred years after the birth Christianity. The purpose is to avoid children of priests inheriting church property. They may make noise about it being a covenant or some kind of devotion or whatnot, but in reality it’s just made up.
Other (protestant) faiths have no problem whatsoever with their clergy having wives. As for Gabriel in particular, he told Jadis earlier this season that he isn’t Catholic, and that he is free to hook up.
I don’t think those were zombies talking, though I suppose it could have been. Hint: Think about Nick Clark.
No I don’t mean celibacy. Just, in general carousing and sexual exploits. I take it Gabriel is some kind of Southern pastor of a country church ( from the looks of the church they found him in). Around here he would be run out of town on a rail for that behaviour. Getting married is the only way for a man of God to have women. Not my opinion, just how it is in the south. Of course in our Zombie apocalypse world it doesn’t really matter, I guess.
Please. One does not “move on” from Rick Grimes.
Exactly.
What was with the X on Michone back all about?
I want to know that too.
I think the actress playing Maggie is quietly leaving this show, it should be no surprise to those reading show biz news that she has already been cast in another tv show.
Daryl is a piece of work, he never changes much. I wish they would do something about him, give him a relationship, give him a makeover, SOMETHING. Norman Reedus is getting something like $300,000 or more an episode, and Daryl is just such an almost mute MESS. I love him, but come on, it’s time for some evolution of the character.
Gabriel doesn’t have a southern fundy congregation to stick their noses in his business. He can just beg forgiveness for his ‘sins’ from the big beard in the sky, if he has to, and anyway, nobody is paying any attention.
Talking zombies indicates a new storyline coming, from the graphic novel.
