The Walking Dead: season 9 (open spoilers)

It was an Episcopal church which makes him a priest…with benefits.

Yeah, they seem to be wasting an opportunity here. But he’s getting top billing in the credits now, so maybe there is hope.

Oh I can. And you’d think Michonne would have done so before he took his helicopter ride.
I couldn’t imagine staying with somebody who consistently made bad decisions in a survival challenged world.

That is quite logical. Live long and prosper.

Here’s the thing with Michonne’s kid. If it has been 6 years, that kid did not look 5 years old. He was more like a 3 or 4 year old.

So my guess is it’s not Ricks. Hell it might not even be Michonne’s!

I noticed that the “fair” was mention 2 or 3 times (between Carol and the “King”) this episode. If they follow the comic story line in regards to what happens at the fair I will be impressed! (definitely won’t spoil it here) If the fair takes place on the mid-season cliff hanger it will be a dozy!

And I see Judith has taken Carl’s place in the Comics story line with the Negan relationship.

I assume those voices came from the “whisperers” who were mingling with, and directing, the walkers. Once you get used to the smell of covering yourself with walker guts, blood, and rotten flesh, herding a gaggle of walkers should be a cake walk.

Just watched the latest episode. Other than Carol just being a friggin’ bad ass, I thought it was pretty boring.

They still don’t seem to know that the walkers “walk”. You just have to walk a little faster. No reason for Eugene to hurry down from the tower. I thought for sure one of the rungs would break and he would be hanging above the herd of death. Not that, but almost the same.

And the woman with the new group that saved her knife so they had “options”? What options are they going to have? What is one little buckle knife going to do?

Again, Carol is a bad ass, and I hope this is the last season. Does anyone know if it is?

I was trying to avoid openly spoilering it. Nick Clark was one of the original leads on Fear the Walking Dead, and his two big things were being a drug addict and enjoying covering himself with zombie guts and walking around with herds.

Yeah, I forgot about that. Clearly what’s-her-name was plenty close enough to jog over and put the ladder back up for him, but no, Eugene decided to just jump and pray. Totally in character for Eugene the daredevil.

I agree that Michonne’s kid looks too young to be Rick’s. I think it might have to do with her not trusting new-comers and why she hasn’t moved on from Rick yet.

I think the kid is too young to be Ricks, especially if it’s 10 years ahead.

It’s not 10 years ahead. It’s 6 years.

I thought the kid was a bit young, too, but I don’t expect perfect time adherence in the show. Didn’t Rick and Michonne have quite a little “session” before he went out on his last adventure?

The title of this thread says it contains “open spoilers”.

For the episode that just aired, not the comic book. This should go without saying.

EDIT: Similarly, if the script for the season finale were leaked online, posting details about it here in this thread would also be an unwelcome spoiler. “Open Spoilers” in thread titles for tv shows has always (and only) meant that we don’t need to use spoiler boxes to discuss episodes as they air.

If you want to post comic book details that haven’t been part of the tv show yet, put them in spoiler boxes.

Why have people been giving so much info from the comic about upcoming storylines? I don’t understand why not posting spoilers is difficult for some people.

Better yet, why didn’t Rosita just climb up the tower? Walkers don’t climb. Whisperers on the other hand might be unpredictable.

Even at six, the kid was a toddler. Looked like anyway.

Well, they may hear the climbing and just stagger around the tower. Rosita could have just calmly walked at a brisk pace to draw the walkers away until it was clear enough for Eugene to come down.

6 years have passed? And they still don’t know the basics. This show really aggravates me. I can’t wait for the displays of stupidity from tonight’s show.

But the point is that they’ve made you curious enough to want to watch it, haven’t they?

Of course. I’m still going to watch

It’s kind of fun to complain about their stupidity. I just want to see how it ends. Lost was the same way. Most of the time I watch (Lost and Walking Dead) I feel like it could be so much better, but this is what they give me. Can’t give up a show after watching it for 8 seasons.

Oh, it’s Rick’s kid, for sure. The age timing may be off. I blame that on the show runner.
