They learned their lesson with Carl. Cast the kid younger than screen age. He’ll catch up, then maybe pass it by on a show that goes long enough. (Like Walt on Lost.)
I have never read any of the comic books. It would be difficult for me to guess which one of my assumptions might have actually appeared the comic books. I do watch the show. And I listen to The Talking Dead in the hope that one of the guests might be able to explain the parts of the show that ended up on the editing floor. And I read the SDMB, of course.
I want to know why Michonne and Maggie are on the outs. I am sure it’s over Negan.
And lord, Daryl is still looking for Rick. He’s also has a x carved on his back. We have one more episode this time. There is no way they can answer all the questions I have. I swear to God I am gonna quit this show.
I’m skeptical that you genuinely thought the whisperers had already been revealed on the show proper. They have been teased in trailers, but not yet revealed. Which I think you already knew.
Are Aaron and Jesus a couple, or are they going to be a couple?
Totally going to be a couple if they aren’t already, for sure. That entire scene made me think of Sundays at George Takei’s house.
Another nothing of an episode. What I want to know is how they get the horses to walk so damn slow. I mean, those are the slowest walking horses I’ve every seen. But it was like the writers just wanted to have a bunch of people outside getting caught by Walkers. No real rhyme or reason. And who cooked up all that crap about Neanderthals?
I’m really liking the time jump. I enjoyed this episode more than any in the last couple seasons. I don’t mind the new people. They are smart fighters and have interesting stories. I’m sure Magda will cause trouble but you’ve got to have conflict.
I liked seeing the progress they are making in rebuilding things. I was surprised that Hilltop had chickens. I would have thought that any farm animals would be long gone at this point.
Of course, now I’m going to have to worry about Dog. It always makes me anxious when they have animals in trouble. They shouldn’t have left the horses hooked up to the wagon while they were sleeping.
I was surprised that Maggie has joined Georgie at another colony. I was looking forward to seeing Herschel. I hope that means we will get to see some of the “outside” world.
Maggie/Lauren Cohan is gone. Her departure was not as ceremonious as Rick Grimes’ was, but we won’t be seeing the “outside” world of Georgie as a way of seeing Maggie again. They found a way to write her out completely with little fuss.
Wow. I thought she was leaving at the end of this season. So I guess her farewell scene was confronting Negan. Not much of a send-off for an almost original character.
My guess is that there is a final “Maggie is leaving us” show that has already been recorded, but won’t be released until next season. Maybe.
“Skeptical”? (open spoilers means open spoilers) If you want more clarification as to what (open spoilers) means, you’ll have to ask the OP.
I never said that whisperers had already been revealed on the show proper. I said I have never read any of the comic books. Between TWD, and TTD, and the teasers, and the trailers, it’s an open secret that there is a new group referred to as “the whisperers”. It’s been established that the walkers/dead ones/biters/cold bodies/creepers/floaters/lame brains/lurkers/monsters/roamers/rotters, but not zombies never zombies, can’t talk. It’s been established that people who must be alive and talking, are traveling with, and/or leading, a group of walkers. And it’s been established that those living people are whispering to each other.
Opens spoilers means open spoilers of what has aired. That is what it has always meant, everywhere. That is always what it means. Stop trying to play like you don’t understand simple words.
Nope, not much of a sendoff at all, especially considering all the hoopla and announcements regarding Andy Lincoln’s departure. All survivors are equal, but some are more equal than others.
I don’t buy that we have seen the last of Maggie. That’s just a very strange way for a main character to go out on this show. (If this was the real world, yes people would disappear all the time to never be seen again, but on the *show *that seems very odd for a lead.) If she did leave, I’m certain they filmed a final scene with her that we have not yet seen.
Ugh
Plodding
Stupid
Angry
Moping
Kill off interesting invested character
Badly lit stupid action
Sometimes the writing is very puzzling. I’m disappointed with the death.
Oh, man I liked Jesus. These writers continue to make decisions that are at best ill-concieved. Holy crap, Negan is free. This is not good. Maybe Maggie will get her chance to kill him for her last episode.
Well, that certainly sucked. I really liked Jesus, too. I was hoping he and Aaron would be a couple. Though I guess we have Dog now to fill up some time. A zombie-parts eating dog, conveniently enough. Who said Daryl never has a relationship?.. That thing is living on borrowed time, I just know it. Dog is going to die saving some human, just watch.
What? You aren’t on Team Negan?
Anyways, I think Maggie is somewhere with Georgie.
