I really wish they hadn’t brought in a dog. Seriously, every time he’s around I’m waiting for him to die. Barking is a bad thing when noise attracts walkers.
I didn’t like this one as well as most of this season. The whole teen thing was ridiculous. Aw, Henry gets his heart broken and hangs out with the bad kids, tormenting a walker, of course. And Negan is free. Whoppee.
The cemetery scene was suitably creepy and the Whisperers look to be more interesting than the last few villains. I wish they would have had one of the new people get killed to show the new threat, though. I liked Jesus.
My DVR did not record last night’s episode for some reason. I have it set for a series record, so I don’t know what happened. Did anyone else have this problem? I didn’t get either the show or Talking Dead. I’ll have to look for a repeat sometime or maybe OnDemand.
I missed it earlier in the season: Who wants the Fair? Where is it hoped to be held? (I know why someone wants a fair; I just don’t know who’s organising it.)
So that was 2 minutes of interesting story and 63 mins of lame crap. (minus commercials) And those two minutes sure would have been more surprising if they hadn’t been spoiled ahead of time in this thread.
So Negan is free after 6-7 years because someone literally forgot to lock his door? Seriously!? Every time I think the writing can’t possibly get any worse, they always manage to pull it off.
“Hey new kid! Wanna sneak out of our defended home and go walk around the woods at night? You know, those woods that contain zombie that somehow manage to sneak up on us, even though they are loud and slow?”
“Yeah! Sounds fun!”
Weird thing, when they showed Negan, I was wondering “How in the heck has he been in that cell for 6 years and hasn’t managed to escape?” Then, oops!
Again, they all forget that the walkers WALK! There is no hurry, just walk a little faster.
He has skills. Morgan taught him. That was really a stupid insert, IMO.
I think the whisperers wear skin masks to walk with the zombies. God, that’s just gross.
As someone who has never read the comics, I was so relieved to learn that “talking walkers” is not actually a thing. It’s ridiculous to think that they can wear masks like that, but I prefer that to believing that the zombies are talking now.
You mean simple words such as “open spoilers”? The title of the thread clearly states(open spoilers). I still consider Talking Dead to be required viewing as an addition to The Walking Dead, if only to clarify the plot, and action. The actors, writers, the host, and guest/fans on the TD had already mentioned whisperers.
Your personal definition of “open spoilers” is interesting. Have you actually been “everywhere”? However, if you prefer not to participate in threads containing open spoilers, you might follow your own advice. just sayin’
Yes. It’s basically the “cover yourself with zombie guts” ruse taken to its logical extreme.
I’m not sure how Eugene and Rosa escaped by covering themselves with mud. They’re zombies, not Predator.
Also, I think it would be need to see a Walking Dead spin-off about some of these other groups. Like at what point do these groups have a serious discussion on whether they should wear zombie disguises, live in a trash heap, carve a W on their forehead or even keep pretending Ezekiel is the King of Zombietown?
All they would have to do is find a Lehman’s store. Located in Ohio. They sell all kinds of old fashioned products for things like farming, gardening, homesteading, canning, etc… Their big customer base are the Amish.
I have an idea for a new “tribe”. The Traders. They go around to various colonies, find out what they need, then go find it.
I didn’t even notice Rick wasn’t in it until it was over and didn’t miss him at all.
Losing Jesus sucks.
The whisperers thing makes no sense. Who wants to shuffle around in circles with zombies all day? Only an insane person, and I think those would be fairly easy to deal with.
Yep, you have to be pretty crazy to sew yourself intonl the skin of a rotten corpse. Ewww!!
I am not a comic reader, I assume this Whisperer story arc is well documented in the books. How closely the show follows it is debatable… Son-of-a-wrek has read them and always tells me the differences after the fact. I am looking forward to the second half this year. It could be real good if they concentrate on the stories that are already in play. If they branch out much more, it’s gonna get very thin
