The watch the birdie MMP

SNOW!!!

is a four letter word

Blurf.

Apparently, I have irk tonight.

What this irk is, where it is, when it is, these are all questions I cannot answer- which is bleedin’ ridiculous, 'cos it’s 5 pee emm.

Mooommm, don’t let FCD see #5

Hm. So irk hath appeared- and… I don’t think I could have picked a nice lookin’ shift- it’s a circus Halloween party (that half my friends were trying to get tickets to), 15 minutes walk from the house ( though I may drive ‘cos walking back at 3 ayy emm is not fun, especially if it gets wet), and I’m irkin’ with one of the nicer guys.

Hope it is as good as it looks!

Howdy from da cave! Let the weekend begin! :: Opens beer ::

Nuts yay for good irk! I’m sure you’re there now. Hope it’s a great shift.

MOOOOOOM da cave shall be darkened as well. I tried a couple of years but hardly got any candy beggars.

When OYKW gets here (with pizza!) I shall call upon his help to move some plants inside. Lows will be in the mid to upper 30s the next few days and these are plants for warmer climes. If we do get back to lows in the mid 50s to highs in the mid 70s next week I may put 'em out again for a little while until it gets for real cold.

That’s the excitatement from south Jawja for now.

I need to haul my plants in also. But I don’t know where I’ll put them - we took the table out of the green room and that’s where they used to sit. Maybe I’ll put a towel on the floor by the window and put them there. I can’t leave them in an unlocked room because a certain feline considers my spider plants to be his personal salad bar.

What to do for supper?? Can’t decide, and it’s already 4…

Shit just got real. I made an appointment with the Georgetown Medical Center’s transplant group for a meet and greet. It does not include my prospective new liver. Up to now, the whole situation has been rather abstract.

Lots of candy on hand to [del]keep the dentists employed[/del] hand out to the rugrats tonight. My Wiccan buddy is having a big Samhain feast instead.

Pizza is ingested and plants are now indoors. When they live indoors, three live in the dinin’ room and two in the livin’ room. They all get windows that way. I figure plants need windows.

BBBobbio it’s probably for the best the initial meet 'n greet does not involve the liver. I would imagine one would want the liver to be as fresh as possible.

We cleaned out the garage for a place to house my plants for the Winter. With the new aquaria there isn’t much room in the fish room downstairs. We hauled thrash to the street, used stuff to the street for folks to take away or the city to pick up. We donated to a thrift shop. We put the plants inside.
I hurt like hell.
Tomorrow I have to set up some lights.

Thanks for reminding me I need to put the African violet on the floor. It’s hanging out next to the heater now.

We wanted to go to Best Buy to look at wireless TV headphones for FIL, and we had supper at Cheeseburger in Paradise. Now we’re home with curtains drawn and most lights out. Some kids were walking down the side road and Higgs went crazy!! Probably scared the kids, at least for a few seconds…

Time to assume the knittage position! MWAH!

Happy Halloween All. Hubby is downstairs wearing a burka and handing out Candy. I can not be bothered. Damn kids. Get off my lawn!

TGIF X infinity. I didn’t have much of a weekend last week due to irk. I need extra sleep and to catch up on my reading.

I wrote the letter For The Record concerning my compromised gov’t credit card. I got a very nice email back from the card administrator. She is going to put a note in my file that the card was compromised not Lost or Stolen on my watch. Still aggravating.

Ok. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Tis supposed to get into the 60’s here. May have to go into hibernation or turn the heat on.

Happy Halloween!

Kicked back in the recliner with the chihuahua, the malti-pom, a pain pilland a vanilla cappuccino watching boring tv.

I am also chilling with a chihuahua Red. Love him so much.

I’m sitting in the dark so who knows how bad my typing will be.
I wanted to hand out candy but I didn’t want to take off irk to do it. I was hoping Sah-son would hand it out but he wants no part of it.

I’m watching an Alfred Hitchcock marathon while I am irking.

I was nanny for a friend’s chee-hoo-ah-hoo-ah until JoeDawg’s demise. Whenever my friend would go out of town, JoeDawg would come stay at da cave. It’s been five and a half years and I still miss the little psycho critter. I was very strict with him however. He had a very structured regimine of couch time, chair time, skritches time, and treat time and I made sure he stuck to the schedule. Discipline. The key to bein’ a good nanny is discipline.

And on that note we shall now retire to the bedroom to watch teevee and ummm… stuff.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Who was that guy who was the Principal and his ancestor the Sheriff in* Back to the Future*?

I’ve been voting in Smapti’s best #1 singles through the ages threads and I’ve come to the conclusion that the majority of other Dopers voting in these polls are high on something. There is no other explanation. I mean, Billie Jean got more votes than Beat It? I Love Rock 'n Roll over Jack and Diane? *Baby Baby *getting any votes at all? The hell is wrong with people?

This just confirms that I have vastly divergent musical tastes than the majority of this board. At least I’m still cool in the Top 15 Albums of the 1990s thread.

I think RT and I have become official old people. We had tentatively planned to go to a party/art gallery opening tonight. Instead, we went to the grocery store and are sitting on the couch watching tv. Rah

I bonded with the chihuahua nine years ago when he fit in the palm of my hand. He’s a wonderful companion when I’m under the weather.
