The White House Correspondent Dinner

They are if they’re born here. Also, FYI, people that use terms like “Real Americans” may as well be birthers.

Go take a nap - you got whooshed extremely hard. Siam Sam and Sampiro were using what is commonly referred to as “sarcasm”.

Real Americans don’t use sarcasm.

There are certain things you DON’T JOKE ABOUT! Obama and his past is HIGH on that list!

What are you HIGH on?

Good thing I thought better of posting that joke about Obama raping fat retarded children in this thread!

Hell, I thought Obama was pretty good. I liked the jab at Michelle Bachman. What was it, to badly paraphrase: “I heard you were born in Canada.” pause. “See how it starts”

My wife kept asking what I was laughing about - tough one to explain.

I just saw that The Donald had this gem today: “In my mind, I have already decided,” Trump, 64, said in a telephone interview today. “I am going to announce. But I can’t do anything until the show ends.”

You should tell Obama about that - there’s a discussion somewhere around these boards discussing him joking about that exact same thing at some gala held last night. Let me see if I can find a link…

“Donald Trump owns the Miss USA pageant, which should make it easier for the GOP to select its next vice presidential candidate”

I thought Meyers was making a Palin dig there.

So in the past a priest a rabbi and Obama walk into a bar
Oh never mind.

A Kenyan, a muslim, and an affirmative action beneficiary walk into a bar…

And the bartender says “What’ll you have, sir?”

I thought he was making a dig at Trump’s penchant for trading in his current wife for a newer model, but you’re probably right.

So now I’m thinking maybe Obama wasn’t born in the US. What I got from that video is maybe he was born in Toontown? Is that right?

Is Trump the least self-aware celebrity there is? He really doesn’t get it that he makes his living as a buffoon?

What’s this all about?

It is what the Earth people refer to as “humour.”

It has exactly the same truth value as “I hear Obama was born in Kenya.”

The “it” in “That’s how it starts” is referring to wild, baseless rumors nobody with half a brain should believe, let alone endorse.

Leaffan, “that’s how it starts” = “that’s how the rumors start”.

Ok. No, I got the joke just fine. I thought maybe there was indeed a conspiratorial rumour substantiating the joke. I’m guessing there wasn’t.
