The WHO is going on tour. Should I go?

I saw them on the Who’s Next tour, December 1971. Keith was already not quite the dynamo he’d once been but was still sensational. I hope this isn’t threadshitting but in my admittedly minority OPINION Keith was the only compelling reason to hear or see them.

I wouldn’t go that far, they all were great in their heydays, but what came after Keith’s death was all just a weak afterthought. I like Pete’s solo work much better than the Who’s post 1978 work.

I thought the WHO was going on tour to promote public health, i didn’t think they’d be playing music.

Not quite the same thing, but Roger and the band have been behind the Teenage Concert Trust Concerts at the Albert Hall for many years. And back in '68 they recorded the anti-smoking anthem “Little Billy” for The American Cancer Society.

Those were my exact thoughts when I saw their first farewell tour over 40 years ago.

To me, they kinda stopped being The Who when we lost Entwistle. Without his bass in the mix, it just isn’t The Who to me.
