I’m not. And I could go to the game if I wanted to. It’s not like the L.A. Coliseum will be sold out.
This may be the first time in modern sports history that a league’s championship game gets a lower TV rating than the season opener did!

If there’s any city where the XFL ought to get a higher-than-usual draw, it would be football-starved Los Angeles.
Shit, I live in L.A. and I could’nt give a rats ass.
X-F-who?
I’m more excited about the upcoming NFL Draft, which is the sports equivalent of watching a glacier race. It would’ve been hilarious if the NFL had moved up the date of the draft to steal the fans–yes, both of them–who’d otherwise be watching the broadcast of the XFL championship game.
Did anyone see the movie “The 6th Day”? If you haven’t, I recommend doing anything necessary to avoid it. That said, the first like 10 minutes of the movie are an XFL commercial. It’s really terrifying.

We may lack the NFL, but we still have the Trojans and the Bruins. We can fill the Coliseum when Notre Dame comes in. And when the Trojans and Bruins play each other… [Keith Jackson] Whoa, Nelly!! [/Keith Jackson]
Heck, I’ll even watch Arena Football before I watch the XFL again.
Well, sure, I wasn’t predicting an overwhelming boost in attendance. I was thinking more like 20 people would go to an XFL game in Los Angeles compared to 10 people in any other city.
Oh, I’m sure they will have a good championship game. But before that I’m actually looking forward to watching the regular season games of this first season of the XFL. I’m sure the season will be memorable.
Anyone know when the season is scheduled to start?
I know the TV ratings have gone to shit, but I was under the impression that they were still getting pretty big crowds for the games.

I’d imagine the camera-operators are under orders to keep their cameras mostly fixed on the most crowded parts of the stadium. Knowing it’s a Vince McMahon production, I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that they’re also electronically supplementing the crowd noise. (Or at least they use the technology to edit out the sound of crickets.)
Most of the closeups of coaches and players reveal a LOT of empty bleachers in the background.
