The Young Ones - Every Stoopid Episode

No, but I gave him tape 1 for his birthday.

Aro: I’ll have to disagree with you. I started watching TYO in the 80s. I watched my bootleg tapes many times. I bought the legitimate VHS tapes and watched them. It still has me laughing.

‘Oh Neil, Neil, Orange Peel’

owlstretchingtime, some Americans had heard of Cliff Richard, “Devil Woman” and “We Don’t Talk Anymore” were both hit songs over here. And I think he did make some minor noise over here earlier in his career, a book I’ve got list a few Top 30 singles in the 60s. Although the scope of his popularity in the UK was probably unknown to most of us, as well facts of his life and career that are probably common knowledge on your side of the Pond.

Sir Cliff is a national treasure or the greatest stain on the country since the slave trade depending on one’s point of view.

He is a squeaky clean “family” entertainer who is as famous for his christianity as his music, which is bought by ladies of a certain age.

THus it is funny that a “radical” would be a fan.

I think pat boone is a similar kettle of fish.

What’s particularly annoying is when it starts raining at Wimbledon. Invariably, Cliff will be in the crowd, and of course, he’ll be handed a microphone and burst into an a capella version of that horrid Raindrops keep falling on my head tripe.

The fascist!

That’s the impression I got from the series.

(FWIW, Cliff Richard and Pat Boone are both “before my time”.)
