thee little butterflies are at work...

I’ve got a gig on Sunday. Not just any ordinary gig but the kind that you invite ALL your friends and family and they invite all their friends and family etc. I keep telling myself to chill out, I’m gonna be fine, it’s all good,* it’s all good*, but I can feel as each day gets closer that my body is tensing up and the butterflies are a flyin’! The band I’m in has been together for 11 months and besides a few parties here and there, this is our first “official” gig. I’m not scared or anything and I’m dying to get up there and do it, but I am a bit nervous if you can’t tell :). Just writing this is making me feel better about it so if anyone has any encouraging words or advice, I would totally appreciate it. Thanks.

dreamer, you’re inviting “…ALL your friends…” - that means us, too.

Where and when, my friend? We wanna watch you ROCK THA HOUSE!

Unfortunately it’s nowhere near the twin cities Canthearya, but of course any and all dopers are welcome!

psst…Canthearya - if you want to find out where you can click the www below.

I always forget to preview

Puke first, then perform.
Break a leg, pal!

Thanks Zette, that’s sweet

Many things going for you, girlfriend.

  1. OC is the hottest place to be these days. They dedicated an entire MTV special to OC style. I’m thinking that Kite is gonna blow uuuup!

  2. “Contemporary Jazz, Samba, Blues and Pop, Cover Band” - A nice, wide range of music… Very cool. Personally, I’m SO into samba these days. I need to learn how to do that dance.

  3. You have the whole of the SDMB behind ya.

Go, girl! Wail! And once it’s over, let us know how much fun you had!

Well, maybe not the whole of the SD, but at least the two best dopers

~listening to the Kite CD~

You guys will knock 'em dead.
