I’m not one of them, but in my 13 and a half years reading this message board, I’ve learned that there’s a sizable group of people who love the disgusting things that our skin sometimes falls victim to. So, it’s for you guys that I share “The Epic, Disgusting Removal of a Blackhead 25 Years in the Making.” Personally, even just watching brief sections with a couple minutes in between, I had the distinct taste of vomit in the back of my throat at the end. But for those of you who love this sort of thing, enjoy.
I saw this on You Tube. You’re right; it’s gross.
But not as gross as this. Warning: Is Maryville, MO the next Steubenville? Probably. It goes on everywhere. It went on at my high school more than 30 years ago, and Polaroids served as social media.
Cool. But didn’t they have a pair of needle-nose pliers?
Must…not…click…links!
Man. How do you let something like that fester for 25 years?
I must say, it was quite entertaining.
Really not so bad.
No “puss” which is what always gets me.
The other link is not about a pimple but the rape of two young teens and the police really aren’t doing anything.
I’m a vet tech. We fight over who gets to lance and squeeze abscesses. That was far too rife with ineptitude to be satisfying. I once got a dried up ball of pus the size of a golf ball out of a cat’s leg. It hit the floor and rolled. THAT was amazing.
Why didn’t they just squeeze it out? They started at some point and it was coming right along, and then they went back to poking it with a needle. Take some lessons at popthatzip.com .
That material looked kind of flaky, and it appeared to be attached pretty strongly. I wonder if it had an odor; abscesses and other related things often do.
I have no intention of going to the link, but the first thing that pops to mind (sorry), is that with there being so much identity fraud, I don’t see how you can be sure of this umm, ‘entity’s’ age. Maybe there’s a grainy Poloroid or something from 1988, but even so, I don’t know that I’d want to accept that as proof. It almost seems like one of those stories that starts out innocently enough and before you know it has spawned half a dozen urban legends and George Romeo movie.
One of the voices in the video referred to the subject as “auntie” and as far as I could tell, the blackhead was on her backside shoulder, so it seems to reason she just never bothered to try to reach it until a “picker” type family member insisted.
nearwildheaven, you’re off-topic in this thread. If you wish to discuss the rape of a young girl, start a new thread and make it extremely clear what the link is about.

I had posted that link because it was even more disgusting than the story the OP described, but you’re right; it doesn’t fit in this thread. Edit the post, or delete it, as you see fit.
Sorry.
I’ve waited twenty-five years to see that video, thanks!
Well, I did other stuff in the meantime, but y’know what I mean
My mom had a weird blackhead on the back of her shoulder, for maybe 5-8 years. It drove her nuts, but it couldn’t be disloged. I tried with a blackhead remover tool a few times to no avail (all the while thinking “Dopers would so love this…”)
She went to a dermatologist who told her it had to be surgically removed. She had it done this summer.
Now that is funny…
I am so glad I am not a medical person.
The satisfaction is the eventual removal. Watching these disgusting videos is like a film building up to a climax. You just want it to end but before it does you just get more and more antsy and when it finally does pop, you breath a sigh of relief.
At the end of that video, I was thinking that this woman is going to have to get another blackhead removed from that site on a regular basis. That pore is just too large. I expect it will shrink some, but the pore might need to be surgically removed and the edges sealed together.
My husband has a couple of larger pores on his back that need to be cleaned out periodically. The blackheads used to be about the diameter of a regular pencil lead, but over the years, the pores have shrunk somewhat, and the blackheads are much smaller…or else I’m getting to them before they get really big.
I just didn’t know they could get that large. I’ve never seen one larger than a pin prick. I don’t think I would have realized that even was as blackhead.
