There is actually one very good thing that happened in these elections

…they were carried out smoothly.

From the Repubs, there were no accusations of “rigging”, no screaming about ballot stuffing, illegal voting, miscounts,etc. From the Dems, there were no screams about election interference (overly long lines, refusal to accept ID cards, intentionally malfunctioning machinery, local officials not complying with regulations, etc.)
No violence anywhere in the country.

And all this was before any results were known, and when everybody was very nervous.

Sure, it’s likely that next time, if the Republicans lose, they will scream about rigging,etc. But that’s off in the future.

But at least, for now, things have gone smoothly, and the entire system worked the way it should.

(and yes, it’s also very, very sad that we should have to even be having a discussion about the prospect of election violence or shananigans.)
