There is no market for used porn, is there?

Who is it that said pornography is anything that gives a judge a hard on?

I think it was me. If the judge is anything like me, that places Playboy squarely in the porn category.

Terrifel, as long as you’re asking Dopers, why not try bringing it up with this Doper? The Occupation listed in her profile suggests that if you send her a link to the thread, she might have something useful to tell you.

I know our big used store here in Nashville, The Great Escape buys and sells older Playboys. Actually, not that old, I’ve seen early 2000’s. But yeah, there is a market for those. They don’t buy the porn mags.

Try explaining that to a guy that is determined to sell his old hardcore porn mags to a used bookstore.

I’m reminded of Krusty the Clown setting out large boxes marked “Used Up Porn” for the garbage men to pick up.

“Krusty” probably isn’t a word you should say in a thread about used porn.

You might want to check the articles. Yep, that’s what I said. Playboy published short stories such as, The Fly and Duel, yep, those movies. They’d be worth more.

Thanks for pointing that out; I may go ahead and do that. I guess I couldn’t reasonably be blamed if it turns out to be an obscure joke of some sort. I think I may have once listed my own occupation as “numbat polisher” (I do not professionally polish numbats).
