There was a shooting at my school yesterday

You probably saw it on the news–it was even the lead story on CNN for a while. Three nursing professors were killed by a disgruntled student at the University of Arizona.

I go to law school at the UofA. The law school and my apartment are only three blocks from where this happened.

It wasn’t as disturbing as it could have been. Most students at the school are in completely different buildings and didn’t even know anything had happened until it was all over. But it still shook everyone up. Really tough to believe this could happen in my city.

That’s really scary. I hope something like that never happens at my school. I’m glad you’re alright. Take care of yourself and the people around you, even though this didn’t affect you directly.

Opus some of your classmates will need a friend in the next few days.

Keep an eye out on campus for strangers that seem upset. Offer to listen. Remember—ya gotta have ticker, or yer nothin’ in this world.
