What ever happened about that fellow who robbed a bank with a bomb around his neck last September or so? He said he didn’t do it, and that he needed help, but nobody got to him on time. I can’t remember his name, but he delivered pizzas for a living, and nobody who knew him believed he was at fault.

not much. they found a gun in his car and they are still looking for who coerced him.
I kinda followed this mainly because it took place in Erie, my home town, and I seem to recall they found another dead body in a warehouse somewhere that was related to this incident somehow. No cite, sorry.

I can picture him squatting there on the ground, plaintively asking for help and not really comprehending why none was forthcoming.
I can’t help wondering if things would have been different had the victim been a cute teen-age girl. The forgoing thought is just an aside, borne of personal experience, and not an opinion or second question.
I follow it also. Just because it happened. And the warehouse story doesn’t exist. If you can find it, post it.
The relatives of the poor dead pizza guy keep calling out about his innocence. The authorities have had little luck finding anything concrete either way.
Only time will help. Unfortunately.
I thought they had recently released all or portions of the instruction letter the delivery guy had.
Oh, I can picture it too! The unedited video circulated on the 'net for a while there, and it wasn’t pretty… One of thise things I wish I hadn’t clicked.
They did do that a few weeks ago. They’re hoping that someone will recognize the handwriting and/or writing style. That’s how they caught the Unibomber.

I know this thread is a year over a year old, but damnit, I’m still curious. Did the authorities ever find out who was behind this? Are there any new updates?

I have this one on my “Google News Alerts.” I use “pizza” and “Erie” for the search terms, so you can imagine the I get an update every day. Usually just who’s serving pizza and where. No substantive updates.
It does seem like this thing dropped more completely and thoroughly from sight than usual. With all the initial publicity, somebody who knows had to brag. I would think so, anyway.
Poor fuckin’ guy, eh?
