I don’t suppose you’d care to defend the tactic in any more detail, would you? Is it simply a matter of might makes right? If a crowd of 300 right-wing protestors can scare a crowd of 100 left-wing protestors into silence, that’s OK? Or is the tactic only valid when exercised by protestors with the correct point of view?

Just for the record, pole, I meant for this to sound like I was talking to myself in a reflective sort of way, as in "Gee, Linty, you know the problem with debating stuff like academic freedom . . . " which everyone with a two- or three-digit IQ seemed to get. I’m sorry if that post came off as ambiguous. I guess I should have added “or both”.
Which means yes, pole, seeing as how we’re pushing for the same thing, I have to admit to myself that you are on my side of the pond, although I think you might have held your breath under water just a little too long.
