An unlicensed driver allowed his 9 and 10 year old nephews to ride on top of a brush pile in the back of his truck. As they crossed a bridge, a wind picked up the brush pile causing the two boys to fall to their deaths.
The deaths have been ruled accidental, but the driver was found guilty of two counts of child endangerment and one count of driving while barred. He was sentenced to 22 years in prison.
He has filed formal complaints against two defense lawyers, the judge and the prosecutor. He also insists that he’s been wrongly convicted because of his prior trouble with the law - four prison terms and two aquittals for murders that he now admits doing.
Interestingly, one thing he has not done is apologise to the boy’s mother for the deaths of her sons. But then it was, after all, God’s fault.
One thing thought: while the court should definitely not be lenient, the sentence appears to reflect his negligence; but does it actually reflect the crimes for which he’s been convicted?
Actually World Eater, it’s that I’m out of crack at the moment. I’ll take care of that this afternoon.
How could he be responsible for so much if he didn’t exist? Ha, got ya there. And if that doesn’t do it for you: explain puppy dogs & sunflowers.
The problem is everyone gives him credit for the cute stuff but not the babies off a bridge stories. Everyone’s happy when he “lets” a sunrise happen. Hypocrites!
Yeah, I wish a great big hand had descended from heaven to catch the two boys and gently set them on the ground shortly before coming over and thunking you on the fucking ear.
Okay, apart from the fact God doesn’t exist. There’s such a thing as freewill, and also taking responsibility for your actions. Even if God DID exist, it’s still the guys fault.
Well I don’t really consider any higher power to be responsible for sunsets either.
The fact of the matter here, is this idiot putting these kids unsecured in the back of the truck was the cause of their death. That and a gust of wind, which science can easily explain.
So now you’re blaming me? I wasn’t even there. God supposedly was. I personally don’t “wish” god to do anything and frankly your wishes affect me not at all (as I presume they don’t affect God either).
If God exists, he let it happen. Is there really any argument here?
