There are plenty of curvy women now, and they are considered attractive, maybe even bombshells. Yes, scrawny chicks get some attention, even fitness chicks, and athletes. More types of women are considered attractive.
Want curves and beauty? Search on “Nikki Cox” and be prepared to drool.
What is great about today is that if you like thin women, or very fit women, or really tall women, you can come out and admit it.
Yesteryear stereotyped beauty into exagerated hip and bust measurements.
Today, it’s a great mix. You can be as tall as robo-babe Gabby Reece (6’4") and be a sex symbol…or short like Shannon Miller, or stacked like Nikki Cox, or thin like Anna Kournikova.
This is odd, the IMDb lists Jayne’s height as 5’1". This must be wrong because I’ve seen the (Academy Awards?) clip with Jayne and Mickey Rooney. Mickey is listed at 5’3" and his eye level was her neck. Did Jayne have a platform or was she wearing 10" heels? Or is the IMDb a digit off (1" instead of 11")?
Damn straight. Have you seen the picture of her on the cover of the october issue of FHM? My wife brought me home a copy of it(I love my wife, not the jealous type)
I believe that Mariska is now a well-known actress, currently on one of those NBC (?) crime shows - “Special Unit” (or something) is in the title? Anyway, I’ve seen her in sitcoms, etc. She’s very beautiful, but has a different figure than her mom.
She’s 3/4 of the reason I watch “Law & Order: Special Victim’s Unit”.
Exactly right, yosemitebabe. Beautiful, yes. But a 180-degree opposite from her mom, appearance-wise. She acts quite well on that show, IMHO, playing a detective who’s also the product of a rape.
Snopes is indeed correct. I had the misfortune to be traveling to New Orleans with my parents, same road, same area, same day and 10 minutes or so behind the Jayne Mansfield car. The first police officers who arrived on scene said something to the effect of “took their heads clean off” to other police, ambulances and news service as they arrived. I think this may be where the decapitation stories originated. There were not decapitations in the strict sense of the word.
This leads me back to my post, “Nothing to lose your head over”. No one lost their entire head.
I second What Black night said. You my dear have some nice eyes. If I were not 10 years older, most likely living a great distance away, and going another major Apathy/suicidal period of my life I promise you I would be your most loyal stalker/admirer
