Why did you need to get even that dressed up for a passport photo in the first place?

I did get some smiles from the people standing in line at the mailbox place where I had the picture taken – once they knew I was there for a passport photo, and not just strangely dressed.
I think I’m wearing a t-shirt in my passport photo. Not that you can tell - at most, you see the very top. But when the photo was taken, I was wearing my hair long. Now it’s short again. And my glasses are different. Close enough, I guess…
It would never occur to me to dress up for a passport photo. I would just go in whatever I was wearing that day.
I once had a coworker that did not wear any pants for a significant portion of a day. He just sat behind his desk.
If you don’t stand up, it works. Mostly.
