Right now it’s paid surveys. AND paid survey scam reports.
I do NOT welcome our scammer overlords. Unless they’ve organized and acquired automatic weapons.

Now it’s two ads for plastic sheeting. What, no duct tape ad? Somebody call the Department of Homeland Security.
But imagine the ad campaign! An office worker in the WTC, trapped by fire, leaps from the window of the building… and lands safely on a Sealy Posturepedic! Now on sale! All stock must go! No payments for the first ninety days! Come see our store, just off I-90! Look for the man in the chicken suit to find us!
It seems to me that have a Remembrance Day and a Memorial Day is a bit redundant.
I thought Remembrance Day and Memorial Day were the same.
Yeah, I can never remember which is which…
I wasn’t saying it would be a great name; but that was the best I could come uo with, given the subject matter. I submit that the events of 9/11 don’t lend themselves to any sort of workable “holiday name.” “Patriot Day” is a total non sequitur, really; at least the other one, Patriots’ Day, specifically commemorates the actions of Patriots. Veterans’ Day is supposed to honor veterans; Labor Day is supposed to honor labor. But who are we honoring on 9/11? “Victims’ Day” doesn’t really sing. At least if the terrorists had had the courtesy to target a single site, then there might be a case for “WTC Day” or something, along the lines of Alamo Day or Pearl Harbor Day.
Speaking of odd holidays… I did a quick search to see if I could derive any inspiration from the names of existing holidays. I’m not sure if I ever knew it or not, but apparently Jefferson Davis’ birthday is still an official state holiday in Florida. Huzzah! I have to remember to take the day off next year.
Maybe that hints at a solution to the problem at hand-- we could just celebrate 9/11 as “Osama bin Laden Day.”
here in britain after the london bombings t.v. interviewed mems of the public up visiting the capital and asked if it would deter them from visiting london as often as they used to . the people they interviewed not only turned out to be complete and utter cowards ,but complete and utter morons ! " oh no " they bleated " well certainly think hard before deciding to come here without a really good reason , we
re sceeeeared!" if theyre genuinly that timid that a few bombs could make them change their routine ,and cliff knows we
ve had plenty of terrorist bombs go off in the u.k. in recent years courtesy of the i.r.a.,london,guilford , brighton ,manchester etc. then the very least they could have done is to lie instead of sending a BIG message to the terrorists "yep lads !it worked !still causing disruption LONG after the actual bombings ! well do it again in a little while !" i suspect that apart from the above they might have been worried about not appearing on the evening t.v. news if they said it WOULDN
T affect their routine . still encouraging terrorists is well worth it if it means people seeing you on the b.b.c. for 30 secs !
