Job security is better on 24 than this show.
About the only one I’m betting on finishing the series is Andre Braugher.

I’m also betting no on the 24 mill. It’s shaping up for a total wipeout as best I can see. Just so long as the Chinese hitman and his “uncle” get taken out before it’s all over, the universe can rest easy again. The previews don’t make it look all that upbeat for a finale.
It’s been a good ride for me, though. Not The Shield by any stretch, but good TV.
I’m liking this enough to watch the next season. I agree that it’s not The Shield but it has some promise.
Agreed. I have liked Braugher’s acting style almost as much as Don Cheadle’s since seeing him in Thick as Thieves (1998) even though I can remember him from Glory, too.
There’s always something impenetrable in his face and you can just tell his face isn’t revealing anything he’s thinking. My favorite actors have that ability to a large degree, and the ones whose expressions telegraph everything they’re thinking are hard to like. (Of course, the script(s) have a lot to do with how well one can get away with that technique.)
It’s kind of interesting to compare Braugher with Gandolfini as far as acting approaches go. I’d love to see them together some time.
